Can we have just one recent race weekend where there is no fear of rain. Seems like this year we have been stuck with them

True seems we have had weather demons all year. This forecast is typical for Japan this time of year. Rain does tend to mix things up :)

An extremely close championship that's coming down to the wire + chances of rain that hopefully deliver = Woo hoo!

Unless I see a storm coming my way on the radar I don't give much credence to the weather reports. The weather reporters said rain every day when I was at the Canadian Grand Prix this year and it turned out to be hot and sunny every day.

    Fear of rain?

More like the promise of rain.

FIA/Bernie do this every time they know they have another procession on their hands: They "threaten" us with the chance of rain. Countless times have I watched a race hoping and praying for rain and heard from Matchett that rain is imminent in the next ten minutes and nothing happened.

    It's all a tease.

That said: If the Suzuka GP gets rained out, it'd be awesome.

    Several reasons:

    - rain is the great equalizer in hp
    - rain separates the boyz from the men
    - rain can change the pecking order by bringing in a random element
    - and last but not least: action!

Short of reversed grid and random sprinklers, rain is the spice in any GP soup.

Ah, I see. I thought you meant rained out as in cancelled.

I guess I want my heart to last my whole life... These sort of things are too stressful! ;)

Oops, sorry, bad choice of words then. Hell no, I don't want Suzuka to be cancelled.

Speaking of: German Bild (you know the guys who did the Massa interview that is causing waves right now) already found the reason for when/if Vettel doesn't get the championship this year: It will be because of the pending cancellation of the Korean GP. Because that's where he would have made up the difference in points blablabla.

It's never too late to have excuses lined up. :)

I agree completely, unless there is a mechanical issue or some sort of collision during the first turn, there isnt much of a chance for the rest of the teams.

I hope it rains. Spices up things everytime. So what if Fred won the last 2 races. Barely any overtaking and boring as hell. Even if he wins the remaining races in the same fashion, doesn't excite me.
