I did a few years in sprints with mine. No problems at all and actually the first year pretty much took it off the showroom floor put some R tyres on it, raced it, and one the championship in my class. Very reliable and very quick for what is a heavy car.

A few years ago, HSVs used to blow PS hoses on track, but HSV fixed that when enough people complained.

Haven't heard of any FPVs having issues at trackdays.

And the new FPV will be a weapon....http://theage.drive.com.au/motor-news/first-drive-fpv-gt-20101005-165rc.html

More power and less weight at the front end (due new all alloy quad cam V8).... would be fun to drive, I reckon.

While I agree with you and remember the prod racer Bathurst fondly, i just can't see the evo versus Subaru battle getting up the support.

Spent last week painting walls inside my house, reminded me of watching bathurst.

Bring back the old days of group A, that would get me watching.

    E30 M3 v Serria RS500 Cosworth, now that's racing!!

Today's version could be GTR v 997.5 GT3 RS, that would be worth wasting a day for.

WTF..................painting walls reminds you of Bathurst!!!!!!!!!!!!

So when Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel he was reminded of Monza or Imola!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it Ford V Holden ? I thought they had to use Chev blocks because the Holden ones weren't up to the task.

    1. there hasn't been a Holden V8 since the 308 went out of production. They're all Chevs now.

    2. The Fords use purpose built race blocks from the US too.

It's all a circus, a week copy of NASCAR. Only fools bogans - who are the advertiser's target market.
