    Hello,

I have a 2001 silver 360 spider with stock wheels. Thinking at some point of upgrading to the modular wheels. Anyone that has done this after their original purchase, please chime in and let me know the best deal they found. Also just curious, they look a little more fragile to repair if ever curbed. The stock one's can easily be refinished for about $100 / wheel including mount / dismount. Let me know opinions.

since you're asking for opinions, I say stick with stock. I actually prefer the look of the stock rim to the modulars. If you must do an upgrade, get the CS rims.

Not really a fan of the CS rims, I think the modular's look great on Silver and grays, as well as black and yellow. Anyone know of a deal.

I have stock modulars and they look great. Never cared much for the "starfish" standard wheels.

Mark- Most of the sets I have seen are for sale in the $1500-2500 range and they are not hard to find. Here is a set plus tires on E-Bay. All the 19" wheels for the F430, Scud and 16M also fit, so there are other choices. Here is a wheel chart showing the sizes and offsets of 360/430 wheels.

The 430 wheels look much better than the modulars, in my opinion.

Not really looking for opinions, thanks though, looking for what people have done if they didn't come stock on the car as for purchasing. The bid on EBAY is for used. Looking for new. Anyone buy them through an F dealer? Not really into the 430 wheels, to me, putting 430 wheels on a 360 means I couldn't afford a 430. Just my feelings.

It has nothing to do about not being able to afford a 430.......its all about the look your trying to attain. Some people like 360's better than 430's and visa versa.

So to the point, new ones cost $3400-3500 a pair at Ricambi depending on front/rear. It seems doubtful that a Ferrari dealer would sell them for less. At those prices, I know I'd reconsider used vs. new.

most have been curbed or dinged up, impossible to restore to perfection, lip is a "diamond" finish. Super delicate.

I can see that finish from the set on the eBay link that Taz posted above and never knew that. That listing is still open for a few hours. Maybe the OP will reconsider...

unless you're trying to win the concourse, I certainly wouldn't worry about a modular that had been repaired. When I bought my 360 spider, with the modulars on it, ALL had been curbed. The dealer had them repaired, and no matter how close I look, I just can't tell. They look perfect. Get the used ones.

Wow! I guess I need to take better care of my modular wheels from now on. I had no idea they were that expensive.

Yeah it's ridiculous. They were a $2500 option on a new 360, now $7500 to replace, however you don't get the orginal wheels if you spec that option. Oh well, will live with what I have and put the $7500 towards a Superleggera.

Well, if they are truly modular, you should be able to just order the outside part - right?
