Hi, I have a cracked Right Side (Passenger) Manifold, and Removing the bottom nuts were not a problem. My problem is removing the top 4. Does anyone know of a special tool to use or a trick to reach them.

Also any advice on if its better to repair or replace. So far my car still works fine but I dont want to ruin the engine. I want to resolve this before I start the car again.

I have searched many threads but have not found anything yet

    Thank You

This is the method I used to loosen and remove the top nuts.

I used a 1/4 drive 13mm Snapon short socket, and a 1/4 breaker bar. My 1/4 breaker bar was only 4 inches long so I had to attach a 3/8 ext. with a socket on the end of the breaker bar to give it more leverage.

Once you pop loosen the bolt you can turn it with your fingers to get it off. For the forward bolts you will need to access them from the cabin of the car by removing the access panel behind the seats. Of course removing the front and rear wheel liner would help, don't forget to take one top nut on the liner off from the inside of the engine after removing the engine bay panel. (PITA design)
