Agreed - this is why I stopped at $62K - figuring it needs $10K to bring up to speed.

I know of a silver 'wet sump' 76 glass car for circa $70K, but this has a huge neglected, 'delayed maintenance' bill coming. The owner hasn't really done anything in the last five years. So really a $100K car

 

The car at Turners is an import (came here in 1986). It was deregistered in 2005 and stored. Recenetly re-certified and registered.

 

I have heard a rumor a Bugatti Veyron arrived in the country recently, is there any way we can look at records of cars recently registered or registered by special interest (SIV)?

I don't care about owner details.

 

Short answer NO. VIN or plate is all the general public is allowed to use.

What are the on roads costs in NZ??

Thats not a bad price $520k plus the $20k extras is NZ$540k which is only AUS$430k based on todays exchange rate. (Still expensive for me and out of my confort zone)

Great Ferrari day yesterday, started off with the 458 launch at CCS complete with sticky buns and real coffee, then on to a huge run south to Raglan for lunch then later we gathered again at CCS to watch the F1, fair to say it was a big day but ton's of fun.

The 458 is as nice as I expected, I like the lines of the car and by all accounts it is very quick. I am amazed how quiet it is in low rpm, and once the exhaust valve opens its a whole new beast, the sound is incredible!!
