thanks ... all u need to know about boating is that it's like standing under a cold shower ripping up $100 bills ... & laughing ...
OK, I can post my boat now..... Mom said it was "missing" but I cleared that part of her back yard, and found it..... I need to call Latham for a steering kit......then I can finish it...new kevlar transom.
I'm just getting down to the top of the deck..........I'll empty out the leaves from the passenger area and take one...thankfully the interior is "out for reconstruction" as well. It's a 19' Sterling made in Norwalk, CA. with a 150HP Mercury outboard........old enough I have to mix the gas!!! LOL! It's a V6 with 3 2bbl tho, not one of the early tall ones!!! Mom wants to salvage it for parts, my son says "burn it, as it sits"...but it's really a nice hand rolled glass and even after all the years in the sun/cold there's no crazing of the original gelcoat..pretty amazing to me ..it's a nice hull.
thanks mate ... ship docks this evening ... unloading tomorrow morning 1100 hrs ... damn i'm excited ...
MP, lots a nice features on the Pershing 80. Do you have the canopy that pops up on the midship deck? I believe this boat has a 3 seat helm station. At 50 knots with over 2000 hp that is some speed demon. Wow! Show us boat nuts some interior photos when you get a chance.
I am excited for you. Bring that yacht out to Northern California sometime and I will provide all the drinks, cigars and food.
yup ... she has a sunroof over the 3 helm seats and a retractable hard canopy just outside in the cockpit covering the seating area there. & the power is a bit more ... its 2,450 HP per engine ... so just under 5,000 HP ... sure mate ... i'll post pics ... lemme get her all cleaned up and i'll take a bunch & post ...
sounds like an offer too good to resist ... but i'll need someone to donate me an oil well first ... hehehe ...
Where do you keep your boat Brenden? I am considering getting a 28-32 foot cruiser for the DC waterfront.
I keep it in dry storage at the Fort Belvoir marina in Alexandria. My dad just sold his 30' cruiser that he kept in a wet slip at the same marina. Taking the cruiser up to the dc waterfront was awesome and always fun!! Especially for July 4 fireworks! Now is the time to start looking for deals.
in addition to its normal container cargo, the ship's actually carrying 3 boats, my pershing 80, my ex - a ferretti 630 -, and a new maiora 103 ...
