You don't drive it around anymore because I kiss it when I see it. It's quit disgusting I understand. Uncontrollable I am around that thing.

Mark with all cars you have including ones with more HP, what is your take on your CS?is it your favorite if you had to choose? If so why and if not why? I think your answer would be interesting for not only me but others?
I can't answer that question in the CS thread without my house burning down tomorrow. While I love my CS it's truly one of the last cars I grab the keys for on a sunday drive. I have kind of pushed it into my collection next to (well on the rack above it right now) my 993 Turbo S. With over 14k miles on her I will drive it a little less over the next few years to let the other CS's in the country catch up The car is smooth and silky to drive. It's lines are the same. I wish I could tell you I have track time in it but I don't. My last track day I brought a couple newer cars. I think I've been spoiled with the insane shift speeds of the Scuderia. The lag the CS has between gears makes it less intense in the mountain twisties although the speeds are still fantastic. I hope to have this car for a very long time. Flame suit on. What the CS does the Scuderia does better in every aspect. I believe the characteristics are almost identical in these cars knowing they are 4-5 years apart. Acceleration, Braking, Suspension they are all incrimentally better in the Scud. They both are so good at what they are made to do no one in the world could complain about either. EVER. I think ownership of these beasts comes down to one thing and one thing only. Which one do you like the looks of more. Both cars are capable of so much more than any of our roads can handle. Tracking would probably be a different answer. I tend to be a little on the aggressive side with cars in that environment and I think the lower HP CS would leave me wanting a little more. Choosing cars is tough. I love every vehicle I own equally for different reasons. I've said several times that a ONE Ferrari stable for me would mean ownership of a 16m. Fast, furious and topless......wait.......are we still talking about cars? So to choose one I would sell my Scud and my Spider and put a 16m in the garage. I won't do this now or probably ever because the 430 is comfort and style for long weekends away. The 16m from what I've seen with my buddies gets a little RAW in the rear end if you know what I mean. Long answer shortened. I love my CS. I'm glad I had the patience to wait out the higher prices and grab one at a more reasonable entry but in the end it wouldn't be the only Ferrari I own. Mike I don't know if I've answered your questions or not. I hope I gave a little helpful insight in the way I feel. Thanks for taking the time to tell us your thoughts. I do not think a FLAME is coming as we all know it can be out performed now with the new technology and being 6 years old. I agree that Scud shifts, HP etc makes it hard to go back to the CS as it leaves you wanting more. My 430 had CCB and race seats and then going back to the CS I see the possible let down on torque and delayed shifts. The times I had with my CS and the style and feel of that car is just special to me as I am sure it is to you. I have seen you drive the old white 360 spider on our Kelowna Ca. trip. Rememer........ I am wide open in the Gallardo for maybe 5 miles loosing the group, middle of no where, look in the rear view and have this white spider 4 ft off my a$$ at 120mph through the Mnt roads !!! Still the best drive, trip etc I ever had!!! Remember how slow those cars shifted? LOL I was curious to see about all your Porsche's vs. Fcars but that is another thread. That's Mark for you....ask him to tell you about the time when I gave him a blitzkrieg in my silly little blue P-car when we were headed out to get some ice cream a while back. That was also a fun trip too. One thing is for certain, that Mark can sure drive! The other day, a friend who shall remain nameless mentioned that he was wondering about the feasibility of implanting the Scuderia transmission into the CS. Sacrilege, but possible crazy idea?

I would own my GT3RS over any car in my stable. Porsche is deep in my soul.....As for Kelowna I seem to remember you guys blowing by with your Horns as I needed Petrol and the wife needing Il Bagno. Yes that could be the best/fastest 80 miles I've ever covered easily done at 170's in the straights That all being said try to Pry my CS from my cold dead hands in 50 years It will be tough. AS for Stokpro's knowledge of these cars it's still Creepy in a OMFG how did he know that sort of way.
It's not all about the 'latest and greatest' and ultimate performance. If that were the case, my old 348, which would absolutely run circles around a 250 GTO.... but which car is more desirable? The CS hits the mark on so many levels, that it surpasses the incremental performance increases of newer cars.
