    There is a dedicated chapter to Driving the Miura in this book which I think will be useful to you..
    http://www.joesackey.com/TheLamborghiniMiuraBible/

    There are a few videos of varying quality that give a sense of sound & feel..

    The difference between driving a poorly-fettled Miura and a well-sorted one is the difference between night and day and makes for whether someone hates or loves the experience. Unfortunately there are too many sub-par cars out there so the key is to look for a good example. In my opinion, having owned half-a-dozen Miura SVs in the past 15 years, the driving experience when the car is well-tuned is one of the most exhilarating automotive experiences, period. The sound is that of a 50s Formula 1 Grand Prix car and the sensations in the cockpit with that engine 6 inches behind your neck will give you goose bumps every time you wind it up to 7,000. I love them, and just sold a nice SV abroad, so if you ever think seriously about one, Id be delighted to guide you into the experience.

    Exactly Sir why I asked this question. I will add a Miura in the next 5 years God willing and people like you will definitely be quarried when I get closer. I have a friend with 2 on the eastcoast and he's told me he will hook me up with his experts as well. I subscribed to follow and learn more and more about this purchase. I spent more than a few dinners discussing them and know exactly what you say. Nothing worse than a poor example of any car and nothing is tougher than a car with such differences in asking prices.

    Your driving analogy makes me want one now btw...Exactly what I wanted to hear. I'm wondering if close to the gt40's of the 60's. Pure adrenalin wrapped up in a Sexy shell. Damn!

    I appreciate your offer and hope to sooner than later possibly be deeper into discussions with you about them as well. Thank you so much. I will view your vids and keep watching. This and next year I can't do it with a new house remodel diving into my Miura fund :( but will be watching for good examples and begging the wife for the go ahead :)

    RM Auctions to auction off 4 rare and important Lamborghini models in London on Oct 27, 2010

    RM Auctions upcoming 'Automobiles of London' auction on 27 October 2010 will include 3 very desirable models plus one up and coming collector model that is finally getting the attention it deserves and steadily increasing in value and appeal. The 3 more well known models include two highly valued and hotly speculated Lamborghini Miuras, a 1971 SVJ estimated to sell for £800,000 - 1,100,000 and a 1972 SV estimated at £500,000 - 560,000 as well as a 1975 Countach LP400 'Periscopa' estimated at £190,000 - 240,000. The other up and comer for collectors is also noted as "one of the most intriguing cars" in the sale, a 1969 Islero GTS that was driven by Roger Moore in the 1970 feature film "The Man Who Haunted Himself." RM estimates this one to bring in £95,000 - 135,000 a fair value for a very nice, under-appreciated car.

    For more details on each of these cars as well as bidding information visit the RM Auctions links below and get your cheque books ready...

    * Lot 150 - 1971 Lamborghini Miura SVJ #4892, est. £800,000 - 1,100,000
    * Lot 172 - 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV #4818, est £500,000 - 560,000
    * Lot 173 - 1975 Lamborghini Countach LP400 "Periscopo" #1120026, est. £190,000 - 240,000
    * Lot 194 - 1969 Lamborghini Islero GTS #6432, est. £95,000 - 135,000"

    Note: The Miura SVJ is only LHD car amongst them.

    Miura S 4809
    Prod. No. 597
    Delivered: 9 Feb 1971

    During the restauration process the Miura S 4809 has been painted yellow. Photos taken during paint work can be found on the workshop website. Here the direct link:

    http://www.autolackprofis.ch/autolackprofis.ch/fotos_ganzlackierungen/Seiten/Lamborghini_Miura,_Restauration.html

    The very same car has already been discussed in post number 655 (page 33), 662 (page 34), 669 (page 34), 671 (page 34) and 693 (page 35).

    Interesting details: The engine hood is fitted with SV tail-lights. Someone has written the wrong production number on the license plate holder: 697 instead of 597.

    Its correct.

    Nearly all production Miuras have the stamping of the production number as + 100.

    I think you are talking about this car, 3781 not sure with the wheels changed or 4956 was another that's in France... Sure Joe will shed some light on it when he is up..

    As for the color, neither red nor the number are right now understood. The wheel is wide.

    j is being made at this factory now.

    Its neither of those chassis numbers, both of which are factory conversions.

    This is one of a significant number of early Miuras that has been 'Jotanized' in Japan, something which sadly seems to be an ongoing thing.

    3781 is a true "wide-body" as the images below suggest..

    Are thoose pics showing 4956?

    Btw, what i meant with the word replica for the pics i posted was more like kitcar.

    I know there are some 3781 replicas, as Joe also mentioned before The one in the pics you posted (4956?) are to say in a diplomatic way not so nice ;-)
