+1 I ordered the Megaphones from them and they were responsive, professional and the exhaust arrived on time as promised. Good guys, hand crafted art they are making for you.

^ nice pics. I really like how the blue platform enhances the pics.
But are those the right sized tires on those rims?

Yes, the tire-specs for the newer Michelin Pilots are correct, however they are not as square-shouldered as the original-spec Goodyear NCTs, and this gives the visual effect of a smaller tire not filling out the wheel arch as much, and this is what your keen eye is detecting..

Joe - any update on the 288GTO book? Got mine on Amazon pre order ;-)

As much as I love the 288GTO design and history, any idea why Ferrari left the lower part of the rear/gearbox exposed rather than covering it with some undercarriage?

The book is at least a year off. Its progressing..

I think the gearbox was left exposed for ease of access.

Article was excellent and the videos round it out. I'm always stunned at how fantastic this car looks in pics taken from directly in front--an incredibly aggressive treatment. The "number plate" alone is worth a bunch :)

The screws on the plates would bother me everyday. Also the front plate sits at an angle. I don´t like personalized plates just as I don´t like bumperstickers but these plates must have cost a substantial amount maybe the screws are anti theft bolts.

The article in EVO about the 288 GTO vs. 959 by Nick Trott in EVO was really excellent. Excellent issue all together, especially some of the Editorials by Chris Harris.

Tony I just read it, nice piece. The 959 is Lord John Mexborough's car as well.

Side story: Mexborough bought the GTO new and used it as a daily-driver for the first 60,000 km! He then felt sorry for it and had it re-commissioned. I bet it has well over 100,000...

The GTO lives with an F40 also, and a legendary assemblage of rare-as-hen's-teeth historic Porsches. Can you say genuine 2.8 RSR? None of the cars are babied though...
