got my FAA ATPL in wichita quite some time ago... not sure if i was wanted by the feds, but it took a good 3 weeks for the TSAs to approve my dang fingerprints!

that's gonna hurt a lot of guys who intend to get the FAA CPL and eventually convert to the ATPL back home. If it really materialises, it's gonna create a lot of problems down stream, esp. with the booming airline industry. unless the airlines are willing to take ab initio training, many of these aspiring pilots will not be able to afford the fees that a lot of the flight schools in EU are charging. besides, the written exams in EU are just a pain in the a$$ and way too archaic.
