Hi, Just finished a deal on a 1997 F355. I have a few questions. What do I need for the car, not parts and such but things like a battery charger. My list so far is below -A nice cover (where to get a nice Ferrari one) -battery trickle charger (what make) -engine warmer? I live in Maryland and my garage is unheated, I have one for my boat so does the car need one? - wheel stops anything else for when it sits in the garage for the winter? - cleaners (what products recommended for interior) Mostly I have hard old classics, pre 1970 so this will be new to me. Any help I appreciate, I have searched the forum for some things mechanical that I want to do.. New exhaust (not sure which one), challenge grill (where to find) and more.. Forum users seem very helpful. Thanks, Neil
Congrats on the car Neil. Ricambi And Grots Garage should have most of what you are looking for. I'm in MD also. Where are you located?
Heya mate, yeah I am a LONG way away from Toorak. But I know where it is, a fellow Aussie Fchatter lives there now. Are you still in Oz mate?? Fill your profile out when you have the time and I hope you enjoy Ferrari Chat. It is a GREAT community.
I'm about to buy a Covercraft Evolution 4 from AutoAnything. The price is reasonable and it should do a good job of protecting the car while I have it parked during the day at the office. Worth a look.
I've installed a CTEK US 3300 (on my garage wall) and it works great on my '97 355. I also purchased the CTEK Comfort Connect M8 (8mm) Cable, since the cable that comes with the charger has 6mm eyelets which are too small if you want to connect it to the + terminal and ground lug in the engine compartment under the right lateral protection (easier to get to vs. the battery for installation and charging). I bought mine on eBay from this seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-OEM-Battery-Charger-Ferrari-F430-Enzo-360-550-575-/360309459986?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53e41e0c12#ht_1299wt_939 Have fun with your new ride!
Of course the dealer will install and sell you a battery maintainer. I recently replaced mine and it cost about $200.
I have a Ferrari car cover listed on Ebay if you want to take a look. I live in California and drive my F355 everyday, so I never use it. Welcome to Fchat! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330485621099
As soon as it gets here I will post some pictures. Does anyone use an engine compartment warmer in a non-climate controlled garage? Thanks, Neil
