I'm not sure but I think the flaw is somehow related to the assertion of the existence of educated opinions around here.
I just don't see how Alonso is considered an "egomaniac" today. Yes sure he might have been in years past, but he has matured greatly. He has asked Massa's help now, what's wrong with that? Massa hasn't a hope to win the WDC. Maybe it's too late and I'm not seeing the whole picture. I would think drivers struggling to match rather or beat Alonso would show that he's a great driver with a strong presence. You certainly know about F1 Mike, let's hear it.
109 points vs 109 points is a real ass kicking! Not to mention that Lewis was the beloved of Dennis at the time and Alonso was persona non grata at McLaren well before the season ended. Sure, Ham came in second to Alonso's 3rd but this doesn't come close to proving that he's better than Alonso.
Not too many better but plenty of equal talent who could replace him if he doesn't want to support the team anymore. Folks like Sutil, Rosberg and Kobayashi.
Ahhh such a nice reply. I know Ferrari signed him in a weak moment. They probably felt sorry he got his a** handed to him by Schumi. Then they felt sorry he got into an accident. Fact remain, he has not delivered and owe the team big time. Why would I need to ask Kimi? He is a Ferrari World Champion, Massa isn't and NEVER EVER will be.
He did come with in 1 point in '08 which to me speaks more volume then of some of these other top rated drivers that are still in the midfield playing Pick Up Stix's. I for one am not a fan of Alonso, not because of his great skill's but because of his "Mommy I Want Upsy" attitude.
Oh c'mon Frank! The FIA gave him a 14 point swing with changing the results of Spa and Fuji after the checkered flag dropped. You can't use the one point argument in all seriousness. PS: Join us for gokart and I'll buy you a beer.
