Joseon, actually, but . . . when English standardization came into play, just as with "Joseon" - "Korea" came after "Japan" in the alphabetical listing, so, Japan liked that aspect. Hey I'll take Chick Corea. I toured with him in Europe years ago. He actually went to the same college I did (Berklee Boston), as a trumpet major of all things.......and was kicked out! That's a different story though.
