anybody have any info on this car? http://www.mgmsl.com/nlisting.cfm?ID=35df7ff7%2Dadc5%2D4c14%2D8761%2D8cbf26cca12a
They had a hot roadster not to long ago as well ... White looks good on any Lambo . Thinking of buying this car ?
Yes, but so far no maint history, no tool kit. Typical dealer doesnt no much about the car but talks alot of fluff. As with any used car purchace, I much rather deal with the owner how knows about the car. I am also torn whether to get a Diablo or a Countach.
all considered i like the countach a bit more and i think is the best investment the diablo is faster though, quite a bit faster
I wonder if this is the one that was for sale by Park Place in Washington a few years ago. There was a member here that bought a white one from them and it needed alot of work. Roy is this the same one???
Dear Lamborghinisti, Hmm...since there are only a few white ones....make sure you do a ppi. Ray G spent a ton of money on his old white D...$20K on transmission work and it still didn't drive right. Chip on LP bought a white one...the one that had the engine driven with no oil...didn't do a PPI and was really caught out with huge expenses. I don't know if this car is any one of these...but do your homework. BTW, forget a CT, get a Diablo....it's super fast, insanely exotic....and gets chicks.. Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice !
ouch....looks like white ones are not lucky! a pity since they do look great in white this one looks interesting since a mid 90's 2wd diablo is a very very rare variant as for the countach: it is the original exotic, pretty fast and ....who told you that it does not get chicks ??
The doors go up on a Countach also......but do the panties still come down My wife is going to kill me
Actually I spent $30k on it and it kept giving me problems. That car has had a few different owners since me and eventually Chip on LP bought it. From his posts on LP they have been working on it for over a year. I feel bad for him. That car is cursed. There is a reason they call it a Diablo, that car is the devil! The one at Marshall Goldman is not my old car though. Mine was a 1991. With all of that being said. Get a Countach, that is the original. The Diablo is a better car (except in my case) but it is an evolution of the Countach.
In the U.S., a 96 2wd Diablo, is an unusual car. I found the Diablo to be a big car with a lot of power. Countach requires more effort to drive. Countach has nice hand built feel - especially the earlier models. Drive both cars. It may take more time, to get a feel for the Countach.
I appreciate the offer. But please only if you have some spare time on your hands. I am looking for an original paint (or minimal touch up) car with an un-re-died interior.
Dear Ferraristi, hahahaha....I wonder who coined that phrase.... No ! No ! No! Diablo all the way...it's so much meaner looking. All the Ferraris just run and hide when a Diablo is in their midst. When you drive a Diablo...this is what you get..... Brittany (20) Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hope my wife doesnt see Brittany,s picture........My choices have just gone from Countach to Caviler....Diablo to Deawoo
Not the same car. That car just got back on the road after a year with Chad Bolles and is owned by member Chipster over on LP. This is a different car.
........................................................................................................................................................................ I think it goes this way, if you buy a Diablo , then later you will think you should have bought a Countach, or vice versa, if you buy a Countach, then you will think I should have bought a Diablo, after hearing the horror stories on the white Diablo that needed all the work and is still not good , its a toss up ., but the grass is allways greener on the other side of the street , Good luck .
Here's a photo that I took of the Diablo in their new showroom earlier this month: http://www.flickr.com/photos/carguy98photos/5069953276/ If you call them up for info on the car, ask for John Ashe. Very nice salesman there and a true auto enthusiast. (Please note that I've never had any sales experience at Marshall Goldman... I just go to their dealership every few weeks to take a look at the cars) Good luck! --Grant
Hey Ray. I have been following Chip's ordeal for the past year now on LP. Didn't know that was YOUR old car until now. Wow.
....................................................................................................that would be great , I can`t do it now, but I thought i had a buyer for my Diablo, and had the money spent allready on the 100,000 mile Countach that is on another thread, but the buyer disappeared, now i have another guy interested in my car , and the car still needs alot of body work, So if i can buy the Countach, later i know i will miss the SV , thats for sure,I have lambo fever.
Bought a car and pretty much had it die the first time he drove it. Had to send it out to get fixed and it cost a lot of money. Just bad luck.
