Depreciation is worse for a new gallardo than a 430. I had 2 430 spider n each time the depreciation is about 10%/yr. Was offered the latest g spider last yr. Would have lost more than 10%/yr if I look at current used car. prices. I bought a 4 yr old DB5 with 5 k mileage some hrs ago n had a lot of problems. I found to my horror that the inside walls of the tires were damage as the owner stayed in a bungalow and the car was not parked in an enclose area better check a low mileage car if u are looking at one

    Hi Cka,

Jus wondering how the inside tire wall was damaged by not parking in an enclosed area at the bungalow.
I agreed that the F cars depn is less aggressive than the L cars regardless of whether bought new or old.

    Cheers!

was it the inside of the tyre wells of the car that were damaged (corroded?) or the inner part of the walls of the tyres themselves that were damaged

Yes it was the inner part of the walls, i don't know what happend but fortunately, i had a flat tire and when to the tire shop and found both front tires were damage and badly too. Most guys who stay in bungalows, their cars are not park in enclosed areas and if they don't drive their cars, they are exposed even though they are under "shelter". Anyway that DB 5 really cannot make it. Floats when you drive at high speed.

Hey Tim, congrats on the QP. One of the nicest cabin around of it's kind. My friend did aftermkt springs from KW if I recall & also ECU tuning which made it more lively. Let me know if you want his contact.

That's nice, finally going for under $500K critical mark for a spyder & I still remember the day that I went to Sepang to have that "secret" preview. That scallop back cover was such a sight!

There's actually an 08 black asking for $550K non nego by our friend which is a good buy.

Finally, be very very careful of low mileage examples.

#1 it's a roll-back, been done before here. Don't say I didn't share ;) So, check the driver's leather seat & door panels for wear plus others which can of course be groomed.

#2 Garage queens can be far worse than a medium mileage car. I often see head gaskets go along with all sorts of hoses & seals once you start using it like it's supposed to.

A bit confusing to me. So the tyres basically cracked up due to age & exposed to the elements? Bro, u meant this car was several years ago cos the DB7 sounds like something in the 90s.

Guys, I'm ordering some tyres from tirerack (Thanks to King!) anybody wants a group buy? I heard that local dealers have just increased 30% on prices due to shortage of rubber but haven't done any compares yet.

I've just had my GTC aligned by my usual Malaysian workshop and it handles like a dream now, much better front end feel. Before it, there was some minor steering shake due to balancing. Anyway, he only charged me RM12 per wheel for that.

I cannot remember which year I had it but I recall DB9 was just introduced. I will need to order some tires soon to fit my after market wheels for the 458. A lot cheaper compared to local tire shops n the weak US$ helps too.

Yeah boy, I'm checking P zeros now & they look cheap esp with the low US dollar. Where do you normally have them delivered? I need a new pair of fronts but may just order all 4.

Oh yeah. Learnt something new from my guy. There's a "B" rating on the tyres which is marked for Bentleys & Ferraris are supposed to be "K", thought only Porsche had it.

Agree with your #2 point. Younger garage queens 1 to 2 hrs are ok older ones 4 hrs n older can give u problems. For me a car that average 3 to 4k a year is a better bet.

    There are 3 size options:
    1. 20 in front n rear
    2. 20 in front n 21 in rear
    3. 21in front n 22 in rear

The in thing now is concave wheels. Looking at 2 options, forged 360 and ADV wheels. My 458 is rosso corsa and thinking of wrapping the top in black. Wheels either glossy black finish or Matt. What do u think?

King, be careful on changing the wheels on the 458. I got warned by the factory via IA that the car should take only the 2 recommended tires. I wanted to change to Corsa tires and factory said that the ABS ecu may not work well with them i.e. warranty void.
