i thot teh abs sensor is in the wheel hub so as long as your new rims and tyres are fitted without altering/tampering with the hubs, the abs sensors shld be alright but maybe new generation sensors are sesitive to wheel n tyre size also.

Sexy! To be honest, I think 20/21 would be max as I worry about what will the profile be left on a 21/22" but if the car's for local drives then do the bling thing.

I would go for gloss black first as matt seems a little common now & though very racy, the gloss black might match the new Ferrari body better. How about white for a change? Any pics of the rims to show us?

Ask your dealer in HK to ask the factory what semi slick tires can go on the 458... see what response you get. It ain't a pretty response from the factory.

Could be due to contract with Pirelli & they only use those two specs for testings. Carmakers are getting very sensitive with all these things lately but I can't blame them if owners take the cars to extreme. I would gamble it if it's for non tracking drives.

Also semis-slicks provide different levels of grip, thereby sending different signals to the ABS etc. Do you guys know what are the specs on the 458 challenge cars? That should give some tips.

doesnt 458 have a traction/abs off button ? a bit strange that factory envisages/provides for built-in option of driving without tc or abs ,but only with "authorised" rims n tyres

There is "everything off" mode on the manettino. I don't think it applies to ABS though.

That pearl white with ADV is splendid! The wheels look ball polished though.

I love the last type which is similar to P40 of HRE & often found on Porsches which may be too common. Go for something different, a bit more modern.

I like the ADV1 the best though it looks slightly chrome-ish. The gloss and matte black rims should go well with your intended gloss/matte wrap on the roof respectively.

Nah, let you all decide.... I only organise drinks and my after dinner dessert. hahaha.

Just bought this set up with the Xbox game F1 2010. The rendition of Sepang is ridiculous!!! I now can feel like I am at the track.... even if I am at home... naked.... and drunk.... wearing only my helmet.

From a manu's point of view..the 458 is a precision honed machine, everything comes together to make one fine furrari orgy machine. Anything different just upsets the whole equation and nullifies the factory engineers hard work! change the tires to something else just changes everything and doesnt provide the feel that the factory wants u to have.

...why you all so hiao ah..itchy backside i can scratch for you :D

So what abt the CS? I got driver training from the pokemon school of advanced training. LOL

My vote goes to the ADV1 as well though not for the polished finish. Brushed wheels will look good on white (imho) :)

Anyone here ordered the 599 GTO? That thing is an absolute beauty! I find myself frequently visiting the 612/599 thread. Not to mention endless "configure" sessions @ ferrari.com :D

My friend is taking delivery of his GTO in next 2 weeks or so. Its the first car in Singapore.
Standard livery in red with black top. He likes his current 599 very much and the GTO was a natural progression for him.
I am looking forward to the all new replacement model though..in 2012

the 599 GTO base price is 1.399mil. Add on a few options and the car is around 1.5mil. Think its not possible to even order one anymore.
I know of someone who is hoping to get a confirm order for #4 in singapore...but factory still hasnt said ok to his order yet.

hahaha. dont think the triple screen set up works for f1 2010, only forza. and that would screw my tv room up too much! at least this seat can be folded away easily enough without making the room look like a car workshop.
