Quite interesting about that isn't it? I need to look closely at the track and see how wide the runoff areas are. Going off line could be interesting
Anyone know the total track drying time to date? As in, when was the last part of the track put down ?
me too! btw.: no mentioning of the snakes on the track or the nail, vettel found? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Come on, that was Vettel's pet snake "Chuck" and a nail HE planted there. Just look, the sname matches his hair so of course it's his.
If the track is that slippery, I wouldn't be surprised to see the top contenders going off track... it might be a smart strategy to lay back and push from behind. Can't wait to see how well they stick during practice and qualifying.
Massa, Heidfeld, and Kubica? I notice there's no quote from Alonso. Even Massa's comment about seeing corners like a bunch of other tracks says something. Yep, the SC having an off isn't a good sign. But it'll be interesting to see (what's left of) the track after the first practice session.
Always a smart strategy... I raced the track on F1 2010, and if the layout is the same and realistic, I'm not surprised the drivers liked it, I remember thinking it was an awesome track other than a couple of curbs that were too high.
Well, they got the curbs part wrong -- a few are below track level. Walls up against the track, a narrow and tricky (and blind) pit-in, and no place in sector 3 for the back markers to get out of the way. --- They built it like that on purpose? This is a good near-end-of-year track from an FIA perspective --- tons of opportunities for FIA lightning bolt penalties to even out the "show".
No kidding Sherlock, those high curbs aren't even on the real track. Strangly enough, the weather for the race in the game was Clear, Clear, Heavy Rain for race day just like for the race this weekend. My PS3 isn't even hooked up to the internet...
