Don't think the black wheels would suit the Flying B's image though. Gives the car a "modded" look..

Huh? When was this? I haven't been in that area for weeks.

It's getting waxed now as we speak, does anyone have a good polisher to recommend esp for black cars? I've done with two guys & not looking any better or should I get a good coat of lacquer?

Was in KL & there's this red 430 spider with the premier kit & owner used a special Japan imported lacquer to coat the paint which is liquid gloss & supposed to be super resistance to marks. He spent over RM100K for the conversion & paint. Asking RM900K now.

Am looking for tyres then thought I should have a spare wheel for the race with MP & nobody sells one so might as well buy four & pretty cheap on Ebay.

yeah, really like the black colour and rims. initially wasn't too sure about the red though, but it's really growing on me. had wanted black interior for easier maintenance, but figured what the heck...

Polishing black cars tend to produce swirl marks! Let me know if there are any good polishers.

How's your Bentley treating you so far? Do you agree that the brake feel can be quite spongy at times? Have reflected to the workshop side but it's still the same.

On the other hand, the Porsche 911 Turbo PDK is a great machine to drive. Still running in though, but the air intake makes the car sound like a fighter jet.

Yeah man & how do u guys keep the softop waterproof? I used to buy a heavy duty 3M scotchgard from DIY shops for the canvas top but can't find the correct spec now.

Took it for a week to KL but must say driving with the top down over there doesn't make me feel very comfortable. Brake was ok but it sure was comfortable & very planted on the NS, never tried to bounce off the highway like my old 997 :D

Dennis is doing a fair bit of mods on his Mk2, you can check with Gary of Exq. M. I was thinking about the new Speedster & thought maybe I would be a convert & do the Pdk rather than old school manual.

Not me then, that's Khip's fav no though. I'm on 88. Hey so there's at least three black GTCs, haven't been to Calvin for a long time, I'll see if he can solve me pain. Thanks!

Btw, didn't hear you speaking much abt your spider. How has it been treating you? One of our bro is looking to buy one.

Can't chip in on this as ours is a coupe. Yes the car feels planted at all times given it's weight is over 2 tonnes! Haha don't think we are doing anything to the car now. It already feels very good!

On the mk2 997TT. I saw one owner fitting the akrapovic titanium exhaust, didn't get to hear it though. That box is over S$10K

Dennis did software upgrade but the torque limiter on the pdk prevented gear change or something like that so they needed to re-program something & last I heard, new intercoolers etc are going in!

Jon you may want to take a look at this place at commonwealth car mall. It's at the new building. Think it's called 1 commonwealth. Have been seeing a couple of exotics there getting groomed.

    methinks you biased :)

nope, not so hardcore although i was seriously tempted by the frozen space grey paintwork on one of the cars - truly unique !

Full story on my passenger ride and a video of me trying in vain to keep up with Lung at Sepang on its way to the SMF Blog.

Suffice to say Lung's did not disappoint as the first 458 to be thrashed around the track by an SMF'er on road tires.... it was amazing....

But Bro Lung needs a new set of tires already....

THanks for the lead!!! Will definitely investigate this further.

Only managed a 2.35. Frustrating especially when Lung turns up on road tires and a car he has never pushed around the track and proceeds to do 2.32's with his friggin aircon on!!!
