CVC will prop him up like 'Weekend at Bernie's' and drag him to far off countries, to rape & pillage their coffers as they please. (it's in Bernie's will i'm sure)

I'm happy to step into the role.

    My manifesto:

    1. 20 races per year... the rich ones pay for the poor ones...
    2. France to be on the schedule - at Le Mans - develop a new F-1 track there.
    3. Monza, Spa and Monaco - 100 year comitment so they will always be there.
    4. USGP back at Watkins Glenn, then next year rotates to Laguna seca, then year 3 Road Atlanta... that way it moves around to spread interest.
    5. 10 year rules stability - rules to be written by x F-1 drivers and designers
    6. Multi cylinder engines to be back - max number 18 cyl.
    turbo & atmo alowed.
    7. All Paddocks will be open in between sessions to fans. tracks can charge up to $100US for Paddock access.
    8. All races to be universally broadcast with an international team of commentators including Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, Simon Taylor, etc....
    9. All F-1 races will have a "masters" series after practice and qualifying... keep the older drivers in competition
    10. All Drivers and Key Team members will be available on Friday for fan sessions in F-1 vendor village for autographs & fan interaction.

So send this to CVC for my consideration. I'm happy to only make $25Million per year as well - compared to Bernie at $100 MM each year!

Your manifesto is a *great* start - Comments/Q's below....

Add Silverstone and "+1". [While we're dreaming, I'd rather see it back at Brands btw.]

    And Charlie.

Why not let it be unlimited?
At what equivalency? I guess at ~1.4:1 given that 1.5:1 favored the turbos. The 10 year rule could be a problem here.....

    Anyone know CVC's address? :)

    Cheers,
    Ian

There wouldn't be any thoughts of keeping it in the
family and having Tamara taking over when dear
ol' dad is gone would there?

Tamara always seems to be lurking in the background.

This all makes TOO much sense. I mean in this day of F1, logic is not something that there is room for ;)

    +1 on adding Silverstone.

Can't happen, times three. Get someone to spend a few dozen million at each one and maybe. Except Laguna, that track will never be fit for a GP.

Why freeze the rules rather than write ones that don't need to be messed with. How about...

Engine capacity of 3 liters or less with turbo or supercharging allowed on engines smaller than 1.5 liters. 10 race engines allowed per season.

Flat floors extending from the centerline of the front tires to the centerline of the rear tires. Three aero elements allowed, one rear, two front, non-moving. These aero elements must not be any wider than the area between the rear tires. No diffusers, the floor ends at the centerline of the rear wheels.

The new face of F1 tech HAS to be efficient performance. To that end, mandate new fuel tanks 5 liters smaller than current, no refueling during the race, with the tank shrinking by .25 liters each season.

Bring back the T car and allow testing at the European venues on the Monday following a GP held at that venue. 40% of laps run must be done by a test driver.

NO ONE! He will be cryogenically frozen. He will be periodically thawed to come back to ruin the sport and make pro totalitarian remarks.

Everybody knows small dogs outlive large dogs. By that measure, Bernie could live to be 140.

There is nothing wrong with his business credentials; it's his sporting ethics that are a bit suspicious...
