Has anyone ordered the original cupholder for their California ? How does it look and where is it located ?

Is there a retrofit sollution ?

It would be nice to keep both hands on the steering and not have my right hand burned by a cofeecup every morning.....good thing the gearbox helpes out or I would have no hand to steer with when changing gears and holding on to the cofee....

Hmm didn't realise there was an option for that - I have a cup holder slot under the cover of the centre console - I lift that up and put the cup in the circular slot - but then you can't shut the lid - it rests on the top of the cup - not a great solution but better than balancing your coffee on your lap!!

I have it. Thought it was standard. Works great for a bottle of water or styro of iced tea. Located on the dash near the glovebox and pops out and in so it hides when not in use. Never knew there was one in the console!

It is indeed standard. It pops out of the bottom part of the center dash toward the glove box.

LOL! That's the current problem with the new manual Porsche. Poor, poor hubby can't talk or text and drive. It's why my kids are all going to learn in a manual beater with no bluetooth.

The cupholder is standard for the US market I believe but not even an option here in the UK. Here is a photo from the Cali pic'sthread.

I have a cupholder in my F40. I just ask her to hold the cup for me :)

Arrrggggghhhh, I had to run to the garage to find my cupholder and just try to imagine my disapointment......first I had problems finding the car due to the "stealth" matt wrapping....LOL, and when I finally located the car, there was no cupholder.....

There was actually a hole under the lid of the center console, but it was wery small and the lid would not close.....useless.

Great sollution William, but I would not trust my eight year old daughter with my cofee on the school run....

    Jennifer,

Slightly red faced - I actually never really looked - just opened the centre console and saw the slot there - and have used it once! When I get back to Perth will have a look. Thanks for the info though.

In a new 911? He doesn't have the two hidden ones in the dash in front of the passenger seat?

(again, likely engineered specifically for the American market) :)
