Yes, you will get a code all the time 100%. You will get a cat efficiency code every time. You need to get your ECU tuned in order to properly address this issue. If you need help let me know, I've dealt with this a LOT. LOL.

 

Hope you don't need to do state inspections (OBDII) in your area.

 

Does the Fabspeed headers have the secondary air injection tubes now? I recall on their earlier headers they didn't have the 2ndary injection hook up.

I would try the following. Check the cat and header connection again to make sure they are fitted properly. Clear the code and then turn the power master switch off and then on again. And see if the code come back.

 

Are you running any cats ?

 

I just replaced a set of headers with revised ones that include the air injection rails on a 360. I haven't yet heard back whether or not it resolved the CEL issue. Something to consider though if your's doesn't have them.

 

I'm confused.

Were they OEM or aftermarket?

Did they have the rails but no pre-cat??

Fabspeed will fit rails on their headers now if requested (optional), basically so you can reconnect your air pump that starts briefly upon start-up.
Has nothing to do with the pre-cat, that is still omitted.
CEL will still appear - unless you reflash ECU.. has been some rare examples of no CEL however I believe its pretty much the "norm" after pre-cat deletion..

 

What do Fabspeed say about the issue ?
