    Yeah I think picking your main rival helps. The 1st season I picked Alonso as my main rival. I just won the title and was offered a ride with RedBull yet Ferrari didn't offer me a contract yet(tho 2 races to go).


    Was in Korea for the title decider. Took pole and lead the race early but the RedBulls were on my ass till they both pitted. Then Lewis was following me he was a tad faster and catching. We both pit at the same time I was worried I would get hit with the pit bug but they let me out at the same time :D I had the lead but I had to hold off Lewis for another few laps. The pressure was getting to me I made afew mistakes but still had enough momentum to keep the lead. The win was nice and then hearing the game achievement sound that I just won the title was a nice bonus. :D

    Was offered the Red Bull contract so I took it straight away :eek: Looks like Vettel wont be racing next year :p It would of been a cool touch if the drivers swapped teams.

    Thank you SPEEDCORE for the heads-up.

    My xbox isn't connected to the internet. Will I be able to burn a cd on my pc, to apply the patch to the xbox?

    From Codie's forum, must connect console to net connection, then subscribe to Silver (it's free) to get the patch.

    Very good news, im sure this will make the game better. I havent even played it lately do to the pit issues.

    I love this game tho!!!!!

    I just ran Singapore last night, great track to look at but SUCKS to drive. Simply hate it. Now i know why LH says that nasty little 3 headed chicane is the worst turn in Formula One.....

    Interesting comment on the FFB and the wheels.

    Maybe I need to buy another wheel (one of the officially supported ones). I have the Logitech GT wheel, which feels perfectly in DiRT2 talking back all the time but gives barely any feedback in F1 2010 (which allegedly is based on the DiRT2 engine).

    The feedback is not just barely distinguishable as with a MS wheel and Forza, where it is there and you can learn/read it after a while. On the Logitech wheel in this game the FFB is barely giving you any clues: It goes loose for when you're on the grass, rumbles across the rubble but doesn't really tell you a lot about over- vs understeer. And I know it could from other games like GT4 or DiRT2.

    If the patch doesn't improve it, I'll have to get a different wheel.

    Yeah just move the xbox to your computer patch it then move it back.

    Another option is getting the patches from hack xbox sites(this is what people do with blacklisted boxes) then copy them to USB but of course they might brick your xobx, unless you have a blackisted/hacked box option 1 is the better idea.

    Every season I up the ante to make things harder. The 3rd season I decided to add all simulations on(except tyres due to puncture bug) and made pitstops manual.

    The Fast/normal engine option no longer exists and if I don't brake in the exact spot in the pits you lose like 4secs for the stop! Then ofcourse I forget to take the limiter off straight away. Need to practice my stops :eek:

    3rd season so far I'm completely dominating proceedings only 1 driver is giving any sort of challenge.

    i'm struggling @ Monaco :(

    Anyone got any good custom setups for Monaco?

    My lines for S3 are bad too those 2 set of chicanes I seem to never do them clean/fast enough...

    Any tips :eek:

    In 10 years of virtual racing I never had any luck in Monaco. Therefore my strategy is simple: take out my WDC contender

    I had some luck with setting the fastest dry set-up and then just maxing out the downforce.

    I know haven't even played this for a week or two, mainly because of the bugs. I can't race at Monaco because of the FPS drop and I'd like to run with some simulations, but they are all buggy. I'll probably just wait until the patch comes out to start playing again.

    I ran Istanbul, Montreal, and Velencia this weekend. What amazing tracks, I really loved Montreal with a 1:16.3 as my best. Champions corner caught me out a few times though :D

    I was stunned how interesting Valencia is. I never thought that was the case, but the track is actually quite a challenge. In a good way.

    Montreal I'm getting bored with. Same old few corners all the time.

    This apparently is good for a 1.11.x time on xbox, I'd be guessing he did it with a wheel.

    Low 1:15 running that setup on a VERY conservative lap. I'll give it another shot when i'm actually awake to see what I can manage.

    Is that an improvement from before or about the same?

    I'd be happy with running 16's just to get on pole :eek: I guess it's more to do with my horrible lines on S3. As 4REphotographer mentions there is frame rate issues in S3 too.

    Just had an amazing race in Malaysia. Heavy rain, was running in second with four laps to go. The rain stops, and Button pits to switch to dry tires. I stay out, track dries more and more, Button is catching me, but I manage to hold out and win by a second.
