Somewhere I think I saw a 348 on the forum with a 355 front bumper. How is that applied, and how do you hook up the AC condenser air flow? I apparently think my 348 is like my lifted Jeep Wrangler and I take it over bolders that whack the front end... I looks like the 355 nose is higher and would be less likely to hit the ground on dips in the road.

The front bar will bolt straight on mate. :):)

Dont worry about the airflow for the condensor, it has its own thermo fan. But you are right, you will lose some of the a/c efficiency because of the lack of airflow through there. :):)

But your a/c will still get cold. Mine does and my thermo fan is not working at the moment. I am relying on air coming in through the scoop.:eek:

Fchatter here fitted a 355 bar to his 348 and spent MANY hours making it fit better than it would have left the factory. He got the gaps REALLY nice and tight on his car. :):)

And you are right, the 355 bar looks like it sits a tad higher than the 348 bar. :):)

I think the 348 looks way better with the 355s front bumper section, the one in the picture is great. It would also look fantastic with the 355 wheels and the 355s rear light set up to to;)
I wonder has anyone bought a 355 and replaced the lower door section with the 348 grates? Now that would be the perfect masterpiece:)

I agree Sambomydog. I just love the door vents of the 348. I think it is one of the styling masterpieces. It would love to see them bring it back in a new model but I don't think that will happen. What does everyone else think?

sorry, the vents look dated - as they are. Hence Ferrari went with the open scallops on the 355. Think Miami Vice.

i think a 355 with the lower front section of a 348 would look fantastic: a little 288ish

I knew I had seen one. My car has modified 360 wheels (offset less) and the LeMans rear grill, so I am part way there. I was all excited after Paps post until I found out the only 355 bumpers I can find cost a bunch, and don't have the lights with them. Anyone know where a front bumper with all the stuff attached could be found w/o breaking the bank?

The air supplied to the condensor comes from the brake ducting molded into the front 355 bumper behind the front grill. Also, the lower ground effect panel is different shape and leaves an air gap, a/c is no problem. Wiring fog/driving lights is more complex but straight forward. More complicated if you want to use the original round 348 connectors for the factory fit. I did find the connectors on-line. Did spend some time fitting the 355 bumper to the body for even gaps. If you start looking at 348/355 front bumper - upper filler panel gap, you will see they are never straight. go look...

Yes the rolled "chin" on the 355 bumper is higher and further rearward than the 348 "lip" thus allowing the 348 to be lowered 25mm without any further road rash.

Can you post more pictures of this car, especialy the engine I think I saw this 348 in a car show in Lake Forest Illinois but I'm not sure. If this is the same car I'm talking about, the engine bay looked amazing with all the modifications. Again I'm not sure if it is this car.
