I think the white on red is stunning! Perfect colour combo IMO. If it's the matte black one, owner should be a pilot. Always seen it parked at T3 carpark. You got SMS!
Why the distinction between CAA and FAA license? You can only fly N tail numbered plane? And do you know how much in Singapore for a plane rental? What kind of plane? Wet, with gas or dry ? Few pics of my Mooney Bravo and hangar, sanity hangout. Also, a pic this summer when I flew over the Grand Canyon, which made my balls shrink because in the middle if the engine quits I can't reach either side. when i last checked (perhaps 5 years ago), a cessna 152 or equivalent was approx. SGD 275 per hour wet.
MP, it has been voted on and decided. Your dinghy is now the official head quarters of SMF. We need to hold our first AGM.... so when?
Jon i will be ordering my tires from tire rack next week. If you like, i can order for you. I don't know if there will be a saving in freight. PM me if you are interested.
It's definitely a lot less here, probably US$65/hr wet for a Cessna 152 or equivalent. And where would one fly to in Singapore? Malaysia or Indonesia? Communication in English? How do they charge for the flight following and landings?
yup ... u wld typically hire for a day trip into malaysia or indonesia ... & yes, english IS the standard ...
very nice... well, the good thing with light a/c is that they can glide for a while after engine quits and this sometimes give the pilot a bit more time to look for a relatively clear and flat area to land. I figured that the turbulence around the grand canyon can get quite nasty at times, so a light a/c like that can get thrown around quite a fair bit?
You mean, lucky them! Well, you know the 355 leaks from where the door rubbers along the wing mirror meets the frame. Not much but it pains me to see the trickles. Surprisingly the roof holds up very very well. In the worst of rain storms (yes, she has been through that last Dec monsoon),only the wing mirror area lets in water provided you were shut in the car before the rain. If not, the A pillar also trickles.
Must have been epic flying over the Canyon. I did the heli ride and it was superb. Pics don't do that natural wonder justice!
Does that mean more 355s are lurking around? We got the 5 brudders together and we have seen the other 2 lone 355s either running around or at the doctor's place so we though all 7 have been accounted for. And I thought Mike's babe was the only yellow one,now turned white.
That's why I was extremely surprised to see the yellow coupe.... wow I wonder what the details are of this baby!
Awesome! So, now we have 4 pilots on board our thread & another on the way Perhaps better to rent yeah? saves the hassle of parking & maintenance. Think he said this summer, gal looks cute though
I've lost touch with these oldies, thought there's only one berlinetta which was owned by four of our bros here & it was blue then repainted red but could be another re-paint. Would be nice to compile the vin nos. of these.
Hey Stephen, what kind of Espirit is that? I'm not very familiar but are they with that kind of back cover? The Merc SLC was my first car
Flown over it a few times. Once at 17,500 ft, going to Telluride Colorado and landed at one of the highest airports, 9070 ft, in the United States, wasn't scary. Turbulence was not bad when I went. Twice this summer I had to go low coz I was landing on the other side at Page Airport, thats the scary part because you are at a point of no return. Usually I fly around and take the narrow point, this time the controller was trying to save me time and asked if I wanted to fly over. Page is the town where the new Antelope Point Marina is with full service, we went to the houseboat on lake Powell. MaxHp is correct, no substitute for altitude! The lake is so big you have the whole cove to yourselves. Serene, peaceful, and calm but when my cell phone doesn't work and no contact with the outside world, I go nuts! My buddies drove for 11-12 hours towing the ski boat and jet skis, they make me feel so guilty for flying there in 2hrs 4 minutes. I had to apologize every hour.
