Something silly. A Bandai racer vintage 1988, about 1/20th scale, wearing a coat of custom orange enamel, a scratch built wing with all lenses painted on.

OK then here are some atuff I've been working on for some time. I'll ask you to excuse me in advance for my disorganization, but I can never work on just one project at a time, so I'll be posting a mixture of finished models and the progress to others

Here is what Hamann calls Black Miracle. Model is based on Mattel. Wheels, brakes, ground effects and interior are all made by me. All the photoetch is Tremonia

After I posted the pictures I see how terrible they are. The orange is actually lighter and more pale somewhat, but I am not into photography and don't know how to make it appear better on my pictures. Also I see alot of orange dots all over which is like dust particles left from the unmasking after the paint job. To the naked eye, they are not there, but the camera is picking them up.

Here are a couple more shots

One day I wondered around a Walmart (yes you read right :D) and at the craft's isle I found a packet of vinil patches, used to repair umbrellas, back packs etc. The packet included four rectangular pieces in four colors. Best part......self adhesive and super thin.
So I bought it (under $2) and desided I'll use it for the boot as the vinil had super fine texture.
So first some templates were made and then cut from the black piece of vinil. Then a wire frame was made to create an edge under the vinil and everything was put in place over the "folded roof" the painted heads from pinheads were used to duplicate the buttons and to hold the edges like on the real thing.

The engine that came in the model consisted of two pieces molded in black. So quite a bit of masking, painting and dry-brushing went on. also a lot of holes had to be drilled (each pin on the second picture indicates a hole)
I wanted a used-well-taken-care-of-engine-bay-effect, so I scuffed the red here and there and used some braided line for some hoses.
The difference between what I started with and what I had in the end was unbelievable

Incredible work! I still need a lot of practice on flocking. It always comes out pretty thin. Any tips?

Thabks for the comments guys. I am currently working on another monster project. Pagany Zonda C12. It is a lot worse model from Motor Max for a base, compared to the HotWheels Mondial, but they are the only ones who make it. also I am deep into two Novitec Rosso 360s. I'll post pictures tonight.
