Be good to catch up if you have time. I'll understand if you don't. If you are driving on the Friday, I'm betting you won't feel much like a twilight tour of the Hills straight after. Let's discuss this over a beer (well, soda water in my case ) at 6pm. The drive isn't bad mind you. You pick up half an hour with the time change and the freeway into Adelaide is easier than the one into Melbourne. Just be careful with your speed between Bordertown and Keith. I saw 3 bike/patrol car radars working that 50km on my last trip over.
Hey, there is a trophy at stake, a piece of plastic and wood worth about $25. Grown men will cheat, lie and trash their cars to win it.
I bow to your greater experience John. The rules may well have changed since I did anything in my 308. It's been a long while! The rules need changing if your examples above are true. Hi comp pistons do SFA as PP showed in his 308 GT 4.
A very large NO, I'd say. Brett, there is no way in the world your car straight out of the shop will be competitive with a well tracked and sorted 308. Sorry.
well something must have given it more HP than Carl's QV or the same as Janne's aussie 328...could have been jetting (unlikely) or ignition (unlikely)....but it did have less power than my euro 328GTB
Mark I may take you up on that also, I'm arriving over friday morning, heading out to Mallala for a few laps in the afternoon and would love to join you guys if you don't mind me bringing my young son along, he is coming over for the weekend and heading back sunday night.
Did you really not go to a rally for 13 years, me either for 10 years I think. We will miss your happy face in Adelaide mate, & such a good drinking buddy Agreed, track day will be interesting.
"I love to have a beer with..." is out to retain the FTD trophy, should be close. Pity "Goldie" won't be there. My money is also on Pete.
