You probably didn't hear the news Horse as you've been away mate. 360C is sending his NG-T over for me to drive.
The man with the goldest calipers in the world bought a Scud, but won't be at the Rally. He's going to see Webber get WDC.
Goldie would have made it reeeeallllllly interesting, even though I'm very disappointed I have lost another drinking buddy, quietly I'm not unhappy from a track day point of view I reckon it is going to be a tough one with Duncan & don't forget Goober in a 360 Challenge race car. It will be a very close year for FTD I reckon.
Thanks Rob, I hope you're right I think I better start a little SP jobby, do we have any bookies in the club
Only 2 weeks to go. Sorted out wheel/tyre issue today, $190 return. I'm using the frieght company that does work for my business in Sydney, we ship heaps of foam packaging for high end wines to SA on a regular basis. I just need to drop the wheels off at the Melbourne depot and they'll put them on a skid (pallet) shrink wrap them and ship to SA. They go everyday. Just have to finalise a drop off point. If anyone has any contacts in SA where I could have them dropped off please drop me a PM. I'll need access on the Monday night to change the wheels and then the Wednesday morning to change them back. I might drop a note to the organising committee as there are 3 people in Victoria that need wheels shipped over.
are you going? are there any of these types going? My experience of other national rallies is that there are clickly little groups and unless a car is very unusual NO one shows any interest in it,sad reflection on people and there interest in other peoples pride. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm running R tyres for the track RB (Dunlops), and the XWX's for driving over. As the cars been rebuilt and I've taken every effort to keep it as original as possible including returning it to Giallo Fly, I've decided to put it in the Concours. Need to do it once to experience it. No chance of scoring well but will be interesting to see what happens.
have you buffed the tyres down to about nothing in tread say 2cm's? otherwise waste of time running R series.
My tyres don't have a tread depth of 2cm's to start with. Not a waste of time at all, quicker than road tyres. This will be my first time at Mallala, first time ever on a track in a Ferrari (as a driver) so I won't be pushing it that hard that I have to worry about buffing tyres. It is only a track day after all.
