It's 229Kg lighter & 70% more rigid on the chassis. So weight is about 1.4+ ton. This is a huge step forward for Lambo. New gearbox with 2 auto mode, F1 suspension with Ohlin shocks, quad tailpipes, very nice headlamp/day running light & Estoque tail lamp. Shorter strokes & redlines @ 8250 with max torque @ 5500. Hopefully it stays cool in Sepang this time. Would like to see how it performs on Topgear's table. It has a Zagato styled bubble roof too! To be honest, I find too many breaklines on the body but what the heck! Door arches up & out a little so your head won't get bruised when you're in a hurry. Keyless with a hexagonal flip-up cover to start & stop engine.

Well, not exactly new but new for Lambo. Even the door switches are feather touch, electronic with a key overide in case it doesn't open. Not sure if you guys saw that flap above the air intake on the body & there's alarm system buttons on the door for tilt/tow. It's digital age, no more mechanical like my old Murcie which will be a nightmare once this new car is over 10yrs.

I thought it was being delievered mid 2011? The car is already made in RHD. 50ms is the same as the Scuderia... the idea was not to make it too smooth a gear change. However, when I compare the F458 and Scuderia gear change.. I would take the F458's faster change anytime. However, gear change is only one aspect of the car. I do love the lighter weight, the doors, the interior styling and the performance specs. For once is 30 years since the Countach you get to sit straight and not point inwards.
It also happens on the GTS. When the rubber seals harden we get all these issues. I went to a car wash once in my 355GTS and the water was just dripping in. The othere issue I had with the rubber seals on the GTS was that the roof creaked when it was hot.

They wrote to me recently, no price indication but still talking of a mid 2011 launch. I suspect pricing should be ballpark 458 price.
Marcus told me offers are around 1.1m now most lambo owners have seen the LP700-4 , SV prices may drop another $100k. I think Melvin pricing it at 1.4m to cushion the SV trade in. In such a global economic climate I don't think lambo will increase the 12 cylinder price. But replacement indicative price is higher than LP 640.
Not crazy about it. Waiting for SEMA next week. A lot of wheel co will be showing wheels for 458. My friends and I should be receiving our 458 over the next couple of weeks. The glossy black wheel on the LP 700-4 v nice. I will have mine in glossy black.
