I thought I was the only one bothered with this title status. Bradan, you have shown many examples of your fine work but I think this would only hurt your chance of future business on this website.

We noticed a few post regarding individuals upset about our heavy posting in the New York section. At the same rate, we receive several phone calls and pm's daily from other individuals who enjoy following these threads. We only post cars owned by New York Ferrari chat members in this particular section. With that being said, we have wrapped up the remaining open projects and will post our future projects all in one single thread to avoid clutter.

Our intentions were to add life to the New York section with threads that would otherwise get lost in their respective individual model sections. We pay for the privilege to be a regional sponsor and decided to be an active sponsor by sharing our projects with local members.

I like the Braden projects threads. I think it's cool and would consider using them in the future because of their threads.

I have no problem with the threads. A sub-forum in NYTS with the title Bradan-Regional Sponsor displaying your projects would seem to be a better fit. I just liked clicking "New York Tri-State" the way it was. I mean, I'm not paying to be a sponsor so in a sense it's who am I but...it's seems too commercial.

It seems the majority of F-chat users don't mind. With that said, I'm glad your receiving calls and gaining more interest towards your company. Personally, I think marketing is reaching in areas I rather not see. Hard enough logging on to Facebook and seeing a friend update his status to "Taking a ****" with a link to Charmin :D I know, I gotta roll with the times!

They pay for the privilege. Plus they seem to me to run a good shop, do nice work, and provide what some, including me, find to be interesting content. Of course you can "vote" by simply not clicking on the links! :)

I think their posts have been a good thing because now we know what to expect when it comes to a detail and a rough price and the level of service to expect

the only down side to Bradan is there are so far from me

As someone who once inquired about sponsoring here, I know for a fact that Bradan is paying good money to be a site sponsor. If this is within the scope of their agreement with FerrariChat (Rob) then I see no reason for us to be debating this. They pay good money to earn the right to sponsor and, IMHO, bring some life back to the NY Area section.

They picked up my car for free (Staten Island) and I am having them do some work. They are replacing the rear window, 5000 mile service and re spray my wheels and one of their super details and maybe spray my front bumper. I could do most of the work myself but after seeing there work on this site I decided to use them. Hopefully my car will become a new thread here and everyone including myself will enjoy it. I have no doubt my car will be done to the highest quality. Daniel keep up the good work.

Personally, I look forward to following your various projects individually.

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone took such pride in their work that they were willing to display every step to a knowledgable audience?

while technically it is spam, i never minded, because its so interesting. their posts contribute to the forum. it would be different if it was filled with posts saying $22 oil change, but we get to see real car projects, which are definitely informative, and enjoyable to read

I don't have anything against the work that Bradan does; they seem to do it quite well. But what I never understood is why they didn't get their own subforum like all of the other sponsors in which they could post their build/restoration threads.

As of this writing, of the most recent 50 threads which display on "Most Recent Posts" in the mighty Tri-State Region, 7 were initiated by this Regional Sponsor.

As a Regional Sponsor, the threads are indeed not only Regional, but, with services provided and content and context thereof, relevant to Region.

Distinctions, as well as similarities between Region-specific Sponsors and Full Sponsors are many.

First and foremost, only Full Sponsors have Read/Write/Execute permissions in Sponsor Forums. In addition, Full Sponsors have Banner Ads in rotation across site Header.

Please note, as well, some Full Sponsors can ad will not only post threads in their Sponsor Forum slot, but also post duplicate threads in the Region itself where they and their clientele are located.

After all, it was that clientele which formed basis for them to generate enough business and interest in product and services to not just form, but prosper enough to go National, and in many cases, International.

Several respondees have reaffirmed their satisfaction with the services provided by this Sponsor, BRADAN, and understand not only the foregoing to be representative of the truths *of* advertising, but truth *in* advertising.

With roots this strong, this could hardly be construed as a problem, and quite respectfully, is not worthy of the original complaint.

Summary translation into Gospelese: Testify! Keep the Faith! Preach, it, Brother! Amen!

Bradan's substantial added value to those of us (me) who are not technically knowledgeable or proficient in maintaining our passion is its ability to educate us and make us aware of potential problems or issues by displaying pics w/explanations in a very transparent, forthright and easy to understand manner regardless of whether you retain their services or go elsewhere.

For our members like Taz who are technically proficient and contribute to the discussion by offering comments and advice that benefit all of us in response to Bradan's and other's work as well as responding to questions that our members raise (including me), the end result is a win-win for everyone.

Personally, I could not ask for a greater degree of comfort that this process provides. Just read the threads to see the actual issues and problems that our members experience on a daily basis who are reaching out for guidance and help. For each of us the process is simple - objectively evaluate the benefit and decide.

I'd like to chime in here -

As a new owner (I paid for my car on Monday), Bradan has been an invaulable resource. I contacted them prior to purchasing the car with a list of questions. Bradan, without me being a customer, answered all of the questions within the same day, and offered additional advice and help. They've worked with me every step of the way helping me with shipping, ordering parts, and giving me up front estimates for parts/services that we think my car might need. One of the deciding factors for me was knowing a shop was close to me with such transparent services.

I would not have found Bradan had it not been for this forum, and more specifically, this sponsored section.

I think the way they format their postings (with Bradan as the first word in the post title) allows people who do not wish to see their posts to easily skip them. I don't think you could ask for anything more - they aren't trying to 'trap' you into seeing their posts.

My car is being delivered to them tomorrow and I can't wait to see a ton of pictures on my car's service - in this section.

    Erik

I have nothing against Bradan. I frankly don't know them, though many on here rave about how good they are. That's fine, and glad that so many folks like them.

But personally, I find it offensive that I have to click on this forum with their "sponsored by" slapped on the top. They already get banner headlines, they get to post what they want, they are listed as a sponsor, etc. I voluntarily pay for the privilege of posting here. If the owner(s) of the site want to maximize their profits, good for them. I don't like having the Tri-state forum carrying a sponsor's name.

That's just my $.02. With all the commercialism on the internet these days, I'm just sick of having all this crap thrown in my face. All the other stuff Bradan, or any other sponsor does is fine. I even enjoy some of the Bradan threads. But enough is enough. Get their name off of our Tri-state forum.

I understand that, but as a company....don't you find it awkward to have your name on the main link to the Tri-State area forum? Your projects and positive comments already give a sign to your reputation.

I'm a customer and fan of Brandan...and most importantly I WAS an active member of this community but have gravitated elsewhere over the years.

The Bradan threads have given me reason to visit this section again and I look forward to seeing more projects through the photos and blogs they post.

In terms of the sponsorship...I would recommend that Bradan have brand prominence once a user clicks through to the NY Tri State section.

Having it on the site TOC seems to be the issue at hand....that can be resolved by increasing Bradan's share of voice on the section.

Just my opinion to aleviate the issues that seem to bother "some" of the users.
