I don't get it, the damage looked like it was going a million miles per hour! And I know you guys are cane for going over 80KPH!
does anyone think the road tax for diesel cars will eventually come down since diesel engines are increasingly becoming cleaner? have only driven one, and while i can't say i know what i should be looking for, it was nice and i like the drive. smooth and torquey. sometimes i wonder what the guys in lta are doing.
When hybrids first came out... the tax was higher than normal cars coz their calculated the tax on power and gave no benefit going green. Diesel gas price will also remain high.
Probably not since they need to balance the fuel tax earnings. We must be grateful that at least diesel cars are finally allowed but with the loading on road tax, it'll keep most buyers away. Ages ago, a Renault engineer told me that diesel engines are more efficient & greener than gasoline equivalents. I don't know about that but in EU & UK, diesel cars are very popular. Btw, how did that car sound? Most sounded like lorries.
