    Hi everyone

I am planning to get into the world of the 348. however, before I do I have an issue I need to resolve. I am located in Canada, and the seller of the 348 is located in utah. Its not a dealership, its just an individual seller we agreed on a price. However, I am not certain how I should pay for the car. I am afraid to send wire transfer because who knows if he will run off with the money and the car. Whats the best way I can protect meself in these sorts of transactions.

    Regards

Go with www.escrow.com This is the site that Ebay recommends and I, in fact, purchased my 308 this way. Escrow dot com will hold your $ in escrow until the car is delievered to you, and then pay the seller. NEVER wire money!! ;-)

    Barone,

I live in NS and bought my 348 in Chicago... Went through it all. I was buying from a reputable Mercedes dealership so my transaction was trust based. Where are you in Canada?

I live in Texas, bought one in Michigan and a couple months later bought one in Chicago. I flew in, paid cash, and drove them beauties home! By far the road trip was the best experience I've had driving them! Don't miss your chance to do the same!

I would love to drive it back, but there might be snow. I am in Calgary alberta, Canada. But your right maybe I should fly down, pay for it in person, and have it shipped. I will try Excrow.

Don't drive it back this time of year, I've already run into ice in some parts of the country and you don't want to drive your new Ferrari through ice and snow and wreck it, I've seen bad ones already this year. Your right on track about shipping it back home

If there is any monkey business, let me know where in Utah the car is and I'll send some goons over.

Fly down there, make the transaction happen in person, and have it shipped back on a closed trailer. The shipping shouldn't cost you more than $1800
