That architect (with the project) was in Vanity Fair, the one with Lindsey Lohan on the front... Interesting, but I HATE being cramped in a plane....for very long.
That's pretty cool although I'd settle for this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110607554400&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Image Unavailable, Please Login
David Richards (of ProDrive/Aston Martin fame) has a desk made from an airplane wing, rivets and all. tried to find a pic but couldn't, anyone know of one...? I think I saw it in an EVO magazine article.
There was a show on History or Discovery for a couple seasons; 4-5 years ago... small company made desks, tables, etc. out of plane parts. Conference table out of a (DC9?) tail piece... Started about the same time as Mythbusters... One of the characters died and that was the end of the show. They spent some time in the AZ 'graveyard' harvesting parts. Can't find link at the moment. Maybe they did Dave's table... sounds familiar...
Don't recall the name of the show but the company is called Motoart and they are still in business. I'd like a B-52 ejector seat desk chair myself. http://www.motoart.com/ Cheers, Kurt O.
That's it!!!!! The name of the show was "Wing Nuts". The pilot for the show is on that site. They cancelled the show when the guy with the goatee died (young, but natural causes).
