Yeah, two more uncompetitive white washes. Kahn was impressive, didn't expect a shut out there.
Khan fight was good. Not great, but good. The kid is quick and pretty accurate. I'm a Freddie Roach fan, so good for him.
Paulie could net get in close enough to hit Kahn. He had an ok punch count for thrown, but look at the landed, that says it all. Paulie's conditioning was fantastic though for staying in there the whole fight, and I was getting po'd at Kahn's use of headlocks and elbows.
Paulie looks like a punk, but he's really very tough with an excellent chin, He's had allot of hand problems, if he had a punch no telling how good he'd be.
This Saturday Rafael Marquez and Israel Vazquez get it on for the forth time. Anybody not familiar with these two guys, three fights should look at You Tube or get a recording somewhere. They rank as three of the greatest of all time in any era. I mean it's nauseating to watch the punishment these two dish out to one another. I don't think they should be fighting a forth time, and can't see it matching the other three, but it's a much watch!
You will want to watch it live, these two leave NOTHING on the table. Old school. It should be a great fight.
That's Okay, Vasquez can be forgiven, although his eye didn't looked healed during the ring walk. He'll never be able to fight again effectively. Can't believe those commentators were talking about a 5th, what do you think will happen? Yeah, it'll open again each time easier than the time before. Please retire great warrior.
Ok, the Cotto v Foreman fight was interesting, Mercante did a pretty good job I think. Ringside crowd of Pacman and Carrot top was equally odd.
I gotta say I enjoyed the fight. Cotto should have taken out a "broken" Forman a round or two earlier, but it's OK. It was @ 154.
Yes, it was a good one. I loved what Mercante did, after Cintron dove out of the ring, and then Vasquez had to quit too early the last thing one wanted to see was Foreman have to quit because of a knee. That would have be another big disappointment. You hardly ever see fighters suck it up today, that was impressive.
Mercante kept telling him to walk it off, and I heard him say "I don't want to see the fight end it like that" and kept calling him "champ" along the way. He kept offering him time to recover and in that one round the mouthpiece came out but Foreman stayed in there toe to toe. I was impressed with his drive.
Tavoris Cloud and Glen Johnson put on an old school brawl. At 41 Johnson is unbelievable. Score was way closer than what the judges scored. Best fight in 6 months.
It was an ok fight. Johnson showed composure, while Cloud showed his youth. Cloud looked in a lot of the fight like he was a rookie though, he landed some shots, not a lot of power, Johnson looked winded for quite a bit of it.
I say no, but could be a helluva fight if Pac decides to slug. On another note, Jerry Jones can take his $55.00 PPV price and SHOVE IT!
ALWAYS bet against me, I'm ALWAYS wrong!!!!! I've quoted this (predictions) on the MMA thread Before and have NEVER been right!!!!!!!!! Make money = Opposite of what Armen says!
Yeah...He did went down....In your dreams. " I love Pac-Man but he's going down " How about " I love Margarito, but he's gonna get hit hard! "
Old man Hopkins is unbelievable. I'm as sick of him as Brett Favre, but if you just saw his fight against Pascal you have to be in awe. Got to be the greatest performance by an aged athlete of all time.
