????? Cosmetically it looks as good as the day I sold it. Not like anyone; but Mr Millard could answer your question.
sorry got cars mixed up ment yellow fellows car. Thoughts on this plant in my garden? OP's? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
you can't disagree....no 355 without a wing has been faster than mine, and that includes yours/millards.....and at Calder, wing or no wing, my car's never been bettered...in fact yellafella was 2.5 seconds slower (ok..that might have been him) Clearly, if my car improved its lap time with a wing as much as yours did, then it would have been 2 seconds faster at PI again. You didn't mind your car being ugly for the sake of a lap time.....I did and still do. It's elementary, my dear Scotster....there's no substitute for HP...and mine has it in abundance and the suspension setup to match. Anyway, stay in denial if you wish, but the stopwatch doesn't lie. As for the Bowe car,get back to me if it's ever on the road and in less than 1000 pieces! AND...did i mention i'm always right?
For example, the reason Millards car is so good is, in a large part, because you were the previous owner.
Thanks Pete, it was good to finally put a face to a name. My main objective of this trip was to do well at the track (I'll make my comments on the 308 and my experience later). As you know my emphasis was on getting the harness bar in. I didn't take the concours seeriously, it was a last minute decision. Based on that it would be unfair for me to win the RD trophy as I didn't make an effort. All jokes aside, I actually loaned one of my extinguishers to another rally attendee who didn't have one. I had a mechanic there to help us and he removed it and fitted it to this gentlemans car. Without it, he was unable to compete. Paps, this guy owned the 348 GTC and went on to win the 355/348 class track day. He was very thankful to me all last night for me lending him the extinguisher. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well I'll start by firstly saying both Judy and I had a fantastic time in SA at the rally, this being our first. We met so many nice people, too many to name. As this is our first event there is nothing to judge it against. I can however say that IMO it was very well run. I was amazed how many knew about my car from viewing F-Chat and many don't post so I didn't even know them. There was a lot of positive comments about my car even though it's only a 308. The concours went well and I'm hoping to get the score cards so I can start to prepare for WA. I'm going to have a go at doing better. I think I got around 477 this time so not too bad. I can't confirm that number because there was a lot of background noise. Ended up getting runner up for best 308/328. I don't understand all this condition/originality, it almost seems to cancel each other out. I expected Goobers 308 to do well. PP, I used spell check this time. My next post will be on the track day, but, I will mention here that VICTORIA won the State relay to which I was apart of.
