Use the 'Search' feature and devote a few hours of reading and you will learn all you need to know.

This question is asked about once a week. Good luck with the purchase.

The 05 Spider has a fabric roof that you can take down whereas the 07 coupe is two years newer and has a metal roof that does not remove

I bought an 07 F1 coupe myself. Best decision I ever made. Having been in a spider not too long after, the noise is even better. But for me I like the lines of the coupe more and have always been a hard top guy. I don't know where you live but I'm in NJ and the spider didn't make sense for me. There are some good days but just not enough to enjoy the amount of sun I would want out of it.

Maintenance on my 05 has averaged 700/year since new. Check out the 360/430 section for more info.

I have been reading many comments in the forums from Ferrari owners in regards to maintenance etc. My question is... why after such a short time does the car need brake pads at 10k miles... especially if you aren't racing it? I am a Ferrari enthusiast with hopes of one day owning one... I am a bit put off by some of the requirements of the car. It seems like a high maintenance woman... you have to continue to pour money into it for it to allow you a few smiles. My Dads best friend had a 308 back in the late 70's early 80's and I've been in love with the cars ever since.

My main questions are for the F430 primarily:

Does it have a header problem like the 355?
How often does the F1 pump need service?
How often do you need to do brake service?
How often do you need to change oil/transmission fluid?
What is the problem with the interior getting STICKY... is this still a thing with newer Ferrari's F430 and newer? Especially spiders
Any other mechanical item that commonly requires servicing on a short schedule?

I liked the F355 until I heard about all of the problems with headers and the overall costs required to maintain... I never liked the 360 so my interest went from 355 to 430. I like the 458 and 488 and especially the F12 but these are no nearly in reach for me so I usually don't mention them.

For all of the Ferrari owners who can answer my questions.. please send me your feedback.

    Thank you all

Brake pad life is driver-dependent. I have clients that wear out brakes in a couple seasons. Most have yet to even get close after quite a few years of driving.
Keep in mind that this is Minnesota. In California or Florida they would likely drive more miles.
