Tuned in at 2330EST. Both the DirecTV program guide and Speed's official schedule say this is when F1 Debrief is supposed to be on.

Of course what's really on is endless NASCRAP. You could have at least warned us, Speed.

    WTF, over?

NOW it's on. They'd never have done this to NASCAR if F1 ran over.

Nascar pays Speeds bills so they can afford to pay Bernie his F1 tithe.

    You thought advertising pays Speed?

Actually there was once this year that they cut in on NASCAR time.

The most important Debrief of the year.
Oh well, if it weren't for NASCAR SPEED would not exist.
Got to take the bad with the good.

exactly. 90% of Speed channel is NASCRAP, 1/4 mile competitions, and whatever muscle car mania program you can think of. For big time Speed channel fans, I am sure F1 is just not welcome on their channel. Speed should really reconsider their name to, "the hillbilly racing channel with the occasional foray into real cutting-edge racing". Too many words I guess

I really really felt that way when they got rid of WRC World Rally Racing. THAT was fun to watch!.
I'm glad the HD-network picked it up.

While I am not a fan of NASCAR at all, I have no problem with this. I feel an original broadcast of any sporting event should continue until the event is over, and the program that follows can be adjusted afterwards. IMHO.

What's shocking is that Speed had "Formula One Debrief"
on at any other time than 1:00 or 2:00AM.

What would become of Speed if NASCAR followed the lead
of stick and ball sports and started their own network.
Silly question as all this would require is renaming Speed.

It wasn't a sporting event, it was just some interviews, and a LOT of commercials. Nothing that couldn't have waited.

NASCAR doesn't pay Speed's bills (y'all) as much as NASCAR's sponsors do. The show in question was brought to us by Gander Mountain, which is an outdoorsy sporting goods big-box store that's nice to walk around in, but their prices are very high. I only buy things there if I can't get them anywhere else, such as a good selection of snake boots last year, and this year at firearms qualification time, since reserve officers have to buy almost everything themselves, I looked all over town and couldn't find proper defensive ammo anywhere else for my backup .38, and had to pay almost a dollar a round at Gander Mountain. Well, now we know where all that extra money goes.

Ever wonder why auto auctions are on Speed?--nothing is moving faster than a snails pace. Sheesh, save 3 hours for programs where cars are moving.......

NASCRAP pays the bills and thus they cater to that audience. Speed is really just the NASCRAP channel with the F1 season as a bonus, nothing else worth mentioning. I wish they would include the British version of Top Gear, but we instead get our own crap version.
