Bummer. Was hoping that the wheels would tuck nicely in the wheel well. I guess I'll just have to wait for them to arrive and bolt them up to see for myself. Thanks for the info.

I bet they will look fine. My factory wheels and tires on my 1993 SS TB barley fit under the wheel well. Maybe almost flush. To me, it looks perfect. It will be fine. This pic was taken with my car up on a lift, looking straight up. Post some of your pics when done.

Thanks for the reassurance Ghardt. I guess I'm just paranoid. Many posts say they bolt right up, but on the later cars, new shorter studs are needed, or am I wrong on that.

I'm not sure. Make sure the angle under the head is correct. I'd double check with Hill Engineering and or Ricambi.

How hard/expensive was it to get the machining done?

    Fairly easy in reality.
Find a place that can take out the tires and then bring the rims to a good machine shop. I paid for mine $160.

OOppss i forgot ... you will have to cut the bolts 10mm and then re-tread them 10mm. I did this myself .

I found a machine shop that would do it for 150 bucks if I go that route. Messing with the bolts is outside of my ability level though. Could I just use stock 360 bolts?

    thanks brother!!!!!

Everyone that sees my car comments on how good it looks.

    I get comments; such as

"That 348 spider looks better than that 430"

    and

"that is the best sounding Ferrari on the planet"

the star fish 360 wheels are made by BBS

U could always send them to the factory
but they hit hard with the bill

I'd probably go with the 360 bolts just I have the stock bolts handy in case I'm feeling crazy and want to put the stockers back on.

This is what you should do

Drive your 348 to a Wheel Repair Guy.
    (a good one)

Get them to measure the offset and they will know exactly how much to take off.

Take some pics of my car with the 360's on and tell them you want it to look exactly like that.

Also, before you drive your 348 there. Go for a drive with your normal car to the wheel repair shop and drop off a 360 rear wheel. (cause it wont fit in the 348)

Ask if he can make u some bolts or where to get some etc etc

    Thats it!!!!

You want the 360's to sit exactly inside the guards as the standard 348 wheels do.

If i was in America, i would come with you to the wheel repair shop.

    and

I would take off the rear 360's and fit them on yours so you can do the job with confidence

Keep asking if you need more help

I'll send you the wheels to get machined, and you can send me over the Capristo so I can give that thing a test drive. I'm saving my pennies for one of those next.
