Hahaha! In Thai, these are really bad. But I find "yip bhet" pretty funny. Litterally it is "**** a duck!"

"Na sun teen" is "Your face looks like my foot!"

Ah, It did sound like some sort of animal.

Like a frog: ribbit, yip (rib) bhet (bit), but hey, I don't speak or understand Thai.

It is funny. I have a blast asking "what sounds" animals make. For example, a cat is called a "maow" (แมว) which is pretty much yea, the noise a cat makes, and that is what they will tell you

But a dog is called a "Maa." WTF dogs bark sounds like Maaaaa??

(ducks by the way make the sound "quah quah quah")

Interesting - in Mandarin the word for cat is "mao" as well... :)

    In Hindi cat is "billee"

The weird and cool thing is, the noises some animals make is different, there was a cat in my grandma's village that sounded way different than a meow, can't remember because I was there last when I was like 7 years old.

a frog in Thai is "Gobp" (กบ). WTF is that?? When I said "ribbit ribbit," they knew exactly what I was saying. What frog sounds like "Gobp?"

I once read that different cultures "hear" the sounds of animals differently and assign
different syllables to what they hear. Could explain some of the differences, and some
    of the similarities.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe any post count increases in a doomed
thread go away just like OOT if the thread is deleted, no?

Probably, not quite sure, but the mods could just ban the guy, remove his spam and change the thread title and it'd stay.

Well, yeah... if the THREAD stays sure.... but I suspect this thread will be nixed in
its entirety. Unless we add content REALLY FAST!

A good one in Thai slang is "Strawberry." (Just as it reads!)

    It means "Bull ****!"

    Note to self:
Don't go to Thailand markets and ask for strawberries.

    Note to mods:
This post was a great importance, thus this thread shall not be deleted, unless you want a fellow F-chatter to get beat up or literally getting handed bull **** in Thailand for saying 'Strawberry'.

Ok errr... How about cute Thai girls?

This is Patty. Believe it or not but she is the daughter of a very good friend of mine, almost a father figure, who is a Sgt Maj in the USMC.

Now that is our specialty. Cute girls, not necessarily Thai :)

I don't believe her name is Patty, just like Pete & Jedi don't believe my call center cousins names are Tom & Jerry :p
