Whelp, this is it folks. The annual hedonistic ritual where we all leave our houses open to burglary in an effort to fill them with ever more useless crap. So, what crap are you planning on buying this year?
So far my list consists of sheets at Costco.

Since my RS6 involuntarily shut down on me on the highway tonight, I'm going car shopping.

Im a terrible consumer. Other than cars I dont really buy much.

I look at the new TVs and think they are amazing but still cant justify upgrading my 60" I bought 6 years ago. Still works fine.

So I have nothing planned to buy.

Black Friday is the one day of the year I pledge to NOT SPEND A PENNY ANYWHERE.

So I won't be adding much to the economy day after tomorrow.

Was watching the news today. Local guy is already outside Best Buy. Said he hopes to save $500. You'd probably have to spend over $3,000 to save $500. No thanks...

Or greater in many cases... yes. And even if you pay a tad more from Amazon etc.,
to me anyway, the HASSLE FACTOR IS GOLDEN.

There is NOTHING I HATE MORE THAN CHRISTMAS SHOPPING CROWDS. Argh...!

On the subject of Amazon.... Amazon Prime can be awesome. For $80 a year you get unlimited 2 day shipping on a ton of stuff with no $ minimum. There are all kinds of random stuff that I would normally buy at a local store and pay sales tax on but with Amazon Prime I look it up on my iPhone first to check the price and order stuff up. It's $4 for next day air shipping which isn't bad if I need something in a hurry.

If only I didn't live in a state where Amazon has a physical presence (well, their
whole bloody HQ and MOST of the warehousing).... so I get the pleasure of
paying 9.3%. The only time I get out of it is when I'm buying from an affiliate
who does not have an office in WA state. THEN it's tax free.

But I do buy a TON of stuff from Amazon.

    :(

Not into the whole consumerism thing........Now, if Victoria's Secret would sell me my choice of those lingerie fillers I see incessantly in their commercials and tv specials, I might be persuaded to whip-out....

Haven't you been replacing that screen for a year now? Between Samsung and Viewsonic, get the Samsung. But Asus > Samsung.

    Downsides to shopping on Amazon:

No hot sales girls in skirts. Drunk shopping and wondering wtf was I thinking when I opened an Amazon box with zip-ties, bathroom towels in neon orange and a Mario Batali kitchen spoon, also in neon orange...and wondering who is Mario Batali anyway and I guess there's things I only know when I'm drunk so...whatever.

LOL!!! Done that once or twice.

Another big down side is having to pay sales tax... since they are based in WA and
have a physical presence here, I have to pay the 9.3% sales tax - I only get out
of it if the affiliate seller is in another state.

Keep running into problems. No store has large monitors in stock. Best Buy, Circut City, Walmart all require me to order & pay shipping ($20-$30). I wanted to see it first but looks like that is not going to happen. B&H and a few others have free shipping but return is a bioch if there is a problem. Ever ordered anything from Newegg?

I'm assuming you have the coupon for the 600 thread count sheets????? I'm picking up a set myself, so I can get rid of the 800's I bought in Egypt that fit like crap.
