I wouldn't say a mini-van owner is a loser but a winner; at least they didn't spend 10x more money for a smaller car; that might be the reason why she drop off the road for laughing at the idiot ... like us ... LOL; by the way, what are you driving at that time, loser of winner ?

 

I live in NC and the thing I see the most is guys in trucks that pull up next to me and rev up the engine. I happens all the time. I am not sure if they think I am going to race them or what. Does anyone else get this all the time?

well, if the woman in the minivan was extremely good looking wearing no clothes, then it would be acceptable to drive the Veyron into the lake.

 

Mostly my experience has been that they stare and/or smile...

 

I think most of the time people want you to rev so they can hear the engine. Most of the time this happens to me and I give the throttle a couple of blips the people in the other car give the thumbs up!

years ago on an almost rural 4 lane road was putt-putting along in my 348 at roughly 55 in a 45 zone. I look over next to me and there is this contractor's pickup truck passing me on the right. Pickup had buckets hanging from a metal cage, 2 ladders, and a bed full of misc junk.

So I speed up to 65. Moments later he starts to pass me again on the right. I speed up once again to 75 and hold it there. Of course moments later, the pickup starts to pass once again. So I raise the bar to 85 and wait. Sure enough, there he comes. But by this point, his buckets are flopping back and forth, papers and other garbage are swirling about inside his pickup bed and flying out littering the road. I look over, cruising at 85 mph, and there is some real old guy, 2 hands with a death grip on his steering wheel. He refused to look over. I just laughed. I just punched it up to a 120+ for a few moments and then dropped back down to 50 or so. Never saw him again.

Lots of camera phone pics. One guy almost killed himself pulling into traffic while staring at my 360. Would have been bad as he had kids in the car.

 

glad someone started this thread because just today i was driving through san marino (socal) when in my rear view mirror coming up fast, with high beams on during a sunny day, was a 360 cs in rosso corsa (the actual model obvious only when it passed me like i was stopped)...around me were a bunch of "regular" cars but we all sped up, almost unconsciously, as if moths drawn to a flame, the air suddenly sparkling now, life seemed grand and smiles on driver's faces appeared around me, as if a rare bird or animal had just been sighted and we were all lucky to have seen it...and all i could think was thank goodness an automobile company could strive for such excellence, embodying on four tires what the human spirit is capable of, to be able to turn the mundane into something extraordinary, just by having a car pass you on the road...
