Yes- it was a very unique car- just about 100 years old!!!! Think about that!

Another great turnout and wonderful morning weather! Many new cars I hadn't seen before and the usual excellent turnout besides...

Wow, do you know if the 1911 RR had a easy trek to the show by any chance?

Owner lives in the near area, took all back roads there. He told me he drives it in various events througout the year and otherwise uses the car, trailering it when events are not in the area. It will go close to 60, but "feels more comfortable at around 50" in his words. The car has something like a 7.4 liter motor, putting out about 48 hp (at 1,250 rpm) and who knows how much torque...probably a decent amount as the car weighs about 5,000 lbs.

I love it when I come home researching the cars I see at this event...a couple months ago I was researching the Messerschmitt that showed up (the car, not the plane), and kirk's countach already cost me some money when I had to buy a big Lamborghini book with road tests on all of the cars they made!

Thanks for the explanation Andrew, I'm sure those who missed it was thinking about my question. While I'm into newer cars, a driver with a classic car and stories always gets a smile out of me. His outfit is another story, I respect him for coming out like that :D

    +1

We have had pretty much everything imaginable show up at these meets....except for a Veyron and I know there must be one hiding out somewhere in the area :)
