Some of Those salaries are horrible, what Country is that from? Can make more from working at Mcdonalds than the flourist. Or more than an Astronaut driving at the mines.

EDIT* I apologize I didn't mean to sound harsh or anything, just surprised.

I knew a commercial pilot who earned $225,000 when he was working. He was a 30 year veteran pilot but the $81,000 is probably a starting salary quote. The florist salary would barely pay for anything. I agree with the previous post, what section of the country is that from? Most of those jobs seem un-fun at those salaries. You could barely by a mediocre sports car unless you were the Ferrari instructor or astronaut.

pilots barely make more than $30k to start, $80k is really good and about average, most airliners can break into low $100's. Very few make $200k anymore.

They need to put 'toy sculptor' on that list. I know plenty of them making low 6 figures per year

And how about "salesman" .... yeah - Willie Loman here. And glad to hear I
do much better than an astronaut or F-Car instructor. With a LOT less risk, I would presume.

Silly list IMO.... they are clearly going for a "grocery store checkout" appeal with that list.

Pre-9/11, many veteran pilots made $150-$250k/year. Sadly, after the airline industry took a spanking their salaries dropped dramatically.

Friend's father was making about $250k flying 747's for NWA; after all the cuts he barely making $90k now.

I figured he would just retire but he loves flying more than life itself. My father had to retire in 2002 as he reached the maximum age the FAA allowed to fly commercial. He hasn't been the same since... :(

Killer, all the very best to you and your comrads! I have 32 years in the military, but never in the position you are in.

The airlines (and anyone else hiring a pilot) figured out that those that get to fly would do anything just to fly so why pay them so much. And after a few wars there are more military trained pilots available. And there are plenty of guys that pay to learn to fly for the same reason, it probably is the best job in the world. Too bad it no longer pays enough for a new Ferrari ... of course owning a 308 ain't bad either!

Thanks Rick. After 25 years, it's still hard to belive that I actually get paid to do my job. Not only would I do it for free, I would gladly sell everything I own to afford it. Driving a Ferrari is the closest thing to flying I've ever experienced.

BTW, flying/military may not pay for a NEW Ferrari, but it sure buys a damn good used one:

Funnest job in the world has many interpretaions depending on the persons personality and character....However owning a successful establishment such as a bar/restuarant or any eating/drinking establishment would probably rank pretty high if the business is ran right.

I would say the #1 most fun job in the world is being an A List filmmaker who has the power to get whatever project they want in production.

i cant even think of anything that, to me, would come close.
