who else here can see Lamborghini do a "special edition" of the car and imput a actual 3 pedal car? with a limited run of course.
no limited runs on a manual simply because they dont have a manual available and the amount of effort to develop a manual just for the few that would want one wont make sense....
if they did a limted run of a murcielago with a body kit (the reveneton) then what makes you think they wont do a "flashback" of the transmissions
I am new here, but today I have seen the LP 700-4 and go inside to sit in the car as well. But sorry no photos available. Because no phone nor camera is allowed, and we have to sign some kind of document that we cannot bring any photos out. The car is excatly the same as the sketch that shown earlier, there is a rear wing that has 2 steps to raise, at 100km/hr it will tilt at some angle, and when reaches 200km/hr the whole spoiler will move up like the sketch drawn. It has a traditional Lambo door, but this time it rises with an angle says 10 degrees outward. There are two huge air intakes behind the doors. And the upper intakes is the opposite way of tilting up of the LP640, Inside it's brand new. It is equipped with LCD dashboard. And keyless go as well with red start button in the middle. The whole cockpit is made of CF and the whole car is CF except for the doors bornet and front fenders. I was blown away by the design, it is too beautiful too amazing car Please excuse for poor English.
Forgot to mention about the suspensions, four suss are now flat mounted, by ohlins where you can see in the engine compartment right behind the engine. The car I seen today was RHD with flu recent red + orange + pink, never seen this color in other car before. The rear is just a bit like the police Lambo shown earlier, with long mid mounted exhaust.
Anything is possible as if they charged 1.5 million for a bodykit, they just need to charge at least 300k for a tranny..lol All kidding aside, lamborghini is not goin to develop a manual specifically for this car. The amount of takers vs cost to build makes no sense. If the 458 doesn't offer a manual, the likelihood for the new Lambo will be virtually nil
Which of these are you saying it looks like? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I say the pencil sketches 95% similar, the front bumper is sport on, but I think the head light is a bit different, but the side huge air intakes behind the door is the signature of the car The black PS pic is not the same stuff, since the rear window is a bit different, and the door is different as well. So this is not right for sure
What color was the car you seen was it right hand drive as well? Is it the same car? There was a Japanese chief mechanic, who was there answering all techical questions? Was he in Singapore as well?
OK everyone ... I saw the car first: presentation is for 15 minutes, starts with history then talks about what they did to come up with the car. They put also some comparison with other V12 cars like the Aston DBS & Ferrari both 599 & 599 GTB " do not know why they put both" also with the LP670-4 SV. No photos whats so ever in the presentation for the Aventador ... just the numbers that we all know. Second: we were asked to go and see the car and here is my initial impression on the baloon white color Aventador: First minute: The side vents are huge and looks really nice & wheels are huge "shiny black" 10 minutes: I liked the rear as its 85% Reventon rear but in an enhanced way with Estoque rear lights. I did not like the front of the car. 20 minutes: I went inside and it was Amazing but with lots of Audi type buttons influence in the center console. Of course it was a TFT screen with a single Dial that you can either choose for RPM or Speed. Seats are no more diagonal "I prefere the diagonal one" very sharp lines from inside also. The stearing wheel was sexy. 25 minutes: I liked the side of the car and the doors were nice too. Alot of lines really in the car ... The roof I noticed got lots of lines too ... I looked at the front but still not much into it. 30 minutes: I start to chat with Lambo guys from Italy and getting their impresson about other exterior colors and they told me they liked the shiny black & the new orange called Argos "deep Orange". I asked about posibility of carbon fiber parts for the black parts in the exterior of the car and they said nothing available now but may be in the furtre. 40 minutes: I asked about the side vents, he said they no more will offer the button to open it manually and it will open the other way around. I asked if he can show us how but he said when the engine heats up but I told him leave it running and it will heat up and he said no so I knew its not ready to open. Also the rear wing opens to the outside at 120km then @ 200km it just tilts. He was shocked when I told him that I do not like the front of the car so he started to show me again. 45 minutes: he opend the big Y shape LED, exactly like the Estoque head lights for the side but with additional small LEB as indicators. When I looked closly to the front, hmmmm the car is nice actually BUT with lots of details ... lots of lines, lots of sharp angle. The nose is pointed with a black part underneath it for downforce. Thats it, the best looking angle for me so far is the 45 degree angle from the back ... it does look nice but come one, you have lived with the Murcielago for 10 years and got used to its shape and lines and saw it in all color & all conditions so not fair to pre judge. I will go tomorrow again and see and ask Winkelman some questions so if you have some shooooot them.
I have one I forgot to ask: The engine sound - is that the final one? We saw a matte yellow car, and quite frankly I was very disappointed with the sound when they turned it on. In idle it sounded like a Ford Mondeo or some other mid-size sedan.
Love the front end, however, the quarters resemble the 458 Italia too much. Prefer the large air inlets on the quarter like the pencil sketches above.
