    I'm posting here (in addition to the "for sale" section) to let you guys know that I have decided to accept several types of cars as trades on my 2006 F430. The picture link is bellow.

    I'll consider trading for a: Carrara S, Panamera S or Turbo, 2010+ Twin Turbo or Turbo S, Audi S5, Aston Martin DB9 or Vanquish, Audi R8.

    I'm just looking for something that "I" consider more "drivable" on a daily basis. If you, or any of your friends are interested in such a trade please let me know. I'm pretty wide open on possibilities.

    Why don't you try making the price in your ad more realistic with today's values?

    I have a 2009 Porsche C2S black/black coupe, 6spd with some excellent mods already done:
    * cargraphic side mufflers
    * sharkwerks bypass
    * OEM Porsche Turbo wing (functional)

    I'm selling her through CatsExotics (board sponsor). The car is not listed on their site yet, but should be soon. I'd think this is a terrific DD (that I used) for you.

    Beautiful 430!

    The car would sell within a month at a $130k market asking price...
    If you check dealers websites, Ebay and i am wholesale dealer so i can check adesa and manheim all the time, only 1 spider even has sold in the past 30days roughly...i saw a 2006 spider red/tan from OC ferrari at the auction..only got to $133k, 6k mi. Not a single car is hitting dealers "min" bid marks...2 spiders have sold in the past 2 months on Ebay both under $136k and both with less than 20k mi.
    Look the 458's are out in force and looks like the real car to own from now on..I am buying a F430 because i don't have another $125k to spend, but any time a new revolutionary model rolls out, the model before is going to take a price hit...and now it is winter and for 65% of the country no one is buying sports cars....A 2005 or 2006 coupe is worth $120k or less, a spider in those years, $130k or less. Wait until the 458 spiders come out...you will see yet another drop in the F430S market....
    Many on this site say Ebay is NOT a realistic place to check pricing...how is it not, it is 1000x bigger than any specialty site and there are plenty of weathly people buying cars on Ebay...it is a true open market with 1000's of buyers and sellers, even for Ferrari's.
    I am looking at 3 2005 F430S' all with asking prices under $130k 2 at Ferrari Dealers...
    F430 pricing in 2yrs will be exactly what F360 pricing was in 2008, as 458's are on the resell market selling for $25k under MSRP....
    IMHO (LOL)

    Are you saying that 458s are selling for $25k UNDER sticker? I have only seen one and it was $55k over. Wow...examples?

    Beautiful car and a very clean example. Price seems high, but you have tons of options.

    The car is very drivable, I have 17,980 miles on my 2006 F430 manual shifter. If I were you I would buy a "normal" car for those times that you don't consider driving this great machine. This car is virtually brand new and the hit you'll take is going to be terrible. Drive it to 30k miles 'cause either way you wont recover the money spent in the options.

    Good post.

    I have access to Manheim as well, although it seems that pricing there is no better than the asking prices on Yahoo autos, which seems to be, IMO, better than ebay, autotrader, manheim, ect for finding a big supply with a lot of lower priced cars. Yahoo autos first 12 or so F430's, some with fairly low miles, are under $130k, and this is just asking price too.

    MikeR397, thanks for the tip on yahoo...somehow, it never occurred to me to check it...I think autotrader and cars.com are pretty much running from the same database...hopefully Yahoo is better. I started negotiating on another car...Ferrari Dealer asking $129,777...he says he will come down to $127K...WOW, thanks! I offered $117k as a starting point after that, and have received no response...the car will be stuck in the dealershowroom for the next 6months as it is in an area where there will be snow for that time...

    UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! The 430 is not driveable as a DD? OMG....few other cars can invoke the emotions the way the 430 can. Good luck with the sale though. Very very beautiful example of a 430.

    BTW, is the fire extinguisher a standard option? Looks very oem-ish.

    Philip did say a car that he thinks is more of a daily driver. I do not pretend to know his reasons for wanting to trade or sell his car, I know what mine were when I sold mine, and at the time it was the right decision. I do agree the car is somewhat overpriced, and take it from someone who mods everything, mods are for you, not the value of the car, and in many cases can cause the cars value to drop. my cars are a prime example of that. I think Philip was probably been to a couple dealers and found the old my car is only worth what when he tried to trade it. Lets face it modern Ferrari's are just cars, expensive cars but just cars, and what they are worth to their owners vs what the market says can be very different things. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

    Approximately 3 months ago a gentleman in NY bought a SOLID 430 with about 13K-14K on the clock for $ 100K Yes.....$ 100K Ferrari is ramping hard on production for the 458 and prices of all others will continue to Skydive. Be reasonable and you will sell it.

    Cheers !!!

    I have to disagree with some of the other posts. With only about 4,000 miles and all these features, it is not priced that high. $160,000 seems in line with the current market, maybe even a bit low in some areas. good luck.

    I sold my GT3RS about a year ago. I live in two locations now (cross country). I don't drive very often (for fun). I now drive a Range Rover 100% of the time. I wanted to sell the Ferrari because I don't drive it! Then I decided that I wouldn't mind replacing one of the RR's that I have, with a "regular" car. So the idea hit me to trade the Ferrari for something I wouldn't mind driving every day, sell the RR (i have two) and end up disposing of the Ferrari and a RR. In the end, I would have a good "driver" and some cash.

    I have decided that if I don't get a fair price or offer over the next 4 weeks, I'm going to just drive the wheels off of it and not worry about it!

    I haven't checked with any dealers. For me, $153K is about it. To the guy who made the comment "2 spiders have sold in the past 2 months on Ebay both under $136k and both with less than 20k mi.", do you not know what an 16,000 miles does to the price of an F430!

    I own one of the cars you are considering for a trade, an R8. I love the car and it is the ultimate daily driver supercar. BUT, if I were you, I would not trade my 430 for one. Get one in addition to it, but not instead of it. The R8 is a fantastic car, but it is no 430. Ferrari's are about more than just performance. Much more. I got my R8 to supplement my 360 Spider, not to replace it. It can't.

    There will always be a Ferrari in my stable, just as much as there will always be a heart in my body. Ok, sorry, got a little carried away with that remark. :)
