I modded my 458 fully and won the tuner championship easily. I found what was frustrating me..I turned down the traction control to 1 and stability off. Now the car behaves like a proper RWD and i can at least anticipate when it will oversteer as opposed to the incoherent behavior when traction and stability were on.

I can't stand ASM, but I usually have 1-5 on TC depending on the car and the skid recovery seems to really help. It's next to impossible to recover a slide when using a wheel.

ive just been using my gtr and 458 for just about everything. i usually have my tc set to 1-4 depending on the car as well. abs 1-5 depending on the track. i dont use any of the skid recovery or stability just slows you down. how do you get credits when racing online or do you.

I've mostly used the full modded Scud, and it's great to drive. The only thing I can't win in it is the GT All Stars race on Expert.

I've been able to get out of slides with the wheel by QUICKLY jerking the wheel half a turn and back and tapping the brakes. It's actually pretty fun to induce!

I put on slicks, TC at 1, ABS at 1, Stability at 0 and the skid at 0 and finally the game is fun. I was about to give up this morning when i tried the Ruf BTR and the car was just a mess, all over the place, very nervous. Now it's scary but fun because i can at least anticipate where the rear will go instead of wondering if its the front that will let go.

It's slower than the P4 and GT40, but a lot of fun to just cruise in.

Man those are cool pics, guys!

I found a few tips that may help with rally and Nascar in special events if you have trouble with them. With rally, turn on skid recovery force if you have problems. I was 4-5 sec below bronze with it off, but 10 sec better than gold in some cases with it on. It feels a lot more natural for rally with it on, but not for anything else. With Nascar stuff in special events, make sure to turn ABS to 0. For some reason it slows you down on turns. I was having probs with both of these and searched the web for answers. :)

EDIT: Also, I found out what B Spec is for. Its so you can read Forza and Evo from the couch and still make money!

    OK, I'll try tonight.

On another note... Sweet! This Autoblog article has Ymauchi saying that an update will be coming out early in December to expand on-line play (b-spec upgrades among others), add mechanical damage, and to fix the crappy shadowing!

From what I've read about the b-spec updates, you're going to be able to manage b-spec races from the internet as long as you've got yor game running on your PS3 and host b-spec races vs. your friends drivers too! I think it'll be a good way to earn some credits, win some cars, and advance you b-spec level.

I haven't really messed with B-Spec just yet, although I did see where you get to choose what style of driver you want. For those who have done a lot of B-Spec racing, what style of driver have you been using?

    God awful. :)

I started one race with a moderate driver and he couldn't even drive in a straight line, so I stopped and haven't been back.

Last night a buddy of mine said his B-Spec driver lost a race to a Miata in a F40.

I tried B spec one with a driver who was as good in Cornering as in Braking. I gave him my 458 and he was able to win the first race (against small japanese cars) by.....4 seconds. Pathetic.

I've done about as much with b-spec as a-spec and well, the driver level in b-spec REALLY makes a difference. Its best if you match the vehicle he is driving with his level... then I've found that they can actually handle the car. Otherwise, the tail's all over the place and they can barely win a race that you'd have won easilly.

Example, my second driver was rated at level 2 (IIRC) and I had to fully mod out a Ford Lightning for him to be able to win the oval track race in the Pick-Up Truck challenge that I did with barely any mods.

You just have to be careful to keep them calm (to the blue side of the meter) and build their level up and they get better and better. Its funny that this works, but by telling them to slow their pace, the meter heads towards blue and their lap times often decrease since they drive so much smoother.

Personally, I don't really understand why they have this B-Spec mode at all..........what the heck is the point?

I didn't buy the game to sit back and watch it play itself.

Ditto. I would rather just put it C-spec (turn the damn thing off :)).

Yes i agree however it might be useful when the Bspec driver can win long races and make you money while you are watching TV. I just dont see how i will ever be able to save $20M by winning races myself.

My B-Spec driver is level 7 now and never lost a race. I put him in a beefed up car, and instantly tell him to slow his pace at the first. I may have gotten a drifting champion. He gets the tail out occasionally but instantly gets it back on track. Pretty fun to watch actually.

BSpec is good if you are doing other things, and will be great when it's accessible online.

The cars won in B spec differ from the ones in A spec, I have won three Ferrari's now in B spec, my driver is now level 19, at the race start I just let him go then do what I want and come back to find him in the lead or as won the race.

So what did you choose for a B-Spec driver when you started out in that mode?

I chose a driver with a hot temprament, it took awhile to train him but now I just leave him alone to do his own thing :).

As we speak he just levelled up to LV20.
