Very nice to see a nice Miura in original livery - "Arancio Acrillico" with Nero and cloth inserts. Fantastic.

Delivered February the 7th 1969 to Dottore Giardiello.

Based upon first hand knowledge, 975k for an SV is not close to the highest recent number ;)

In what year did it participate in the Tour Auto? Was it 1971? I see that the Tour auto came to the Nurburgring in 1971. I know some older photographers in Germany that may have been around at the Nurburgring.

Correct it was... because it was still considered as a previously registered Miura, built or based on VIN #3441 !

4832 is correct. A very late Miura S, ex-(the late) David Walters.

    ILR says ;

    "1967 Miura P400
    Chassis #3015
    Engine #1106
    Prod. #24
    6 June 1967

Originally Red/Black when sold to someone in Malinnes (Mechelen) a city between Antwerp and Brussels in Belgium.

Feb 1989 - Advertised in Car Collector on page 59 by seller in Belgium asking $110,000 US. Registered DNV 312 in Belgium at the time of sale.

2 Nov 1990 - Offered at auction at Versailles. Auction catalogue description stated car stored in garage 15 years before being restored.

Feb 2003 - Today in France with the same owner since the early 1990s. But where exactly is this car today and with whom? Any information on the present whereabouts, owner or more details on its history would be greatly appreciated. Email us using the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page."

So is it a discovered car which is about to be for sale ? I'd be happy to know its french license number.

I know by heart what says ILR... I touched it when I was 3 years old and my father sponsored it. Then sitted in it when I was 6 years old and expected my father to buy it, what he did not... I missed it back in 1988 when someone lied to me to avoid to show it me... While I lived at Dallas-TX, it was sold officially at Auction "Boisgirard" 22nd April 1990 at Paris Vincennes... When I've been able to afford a Miura, back in 2000 I've started to look around worldwide... my tale is now finished... and you will not discover any advertise about #3015 !!!

Is it just me or do the stampings on this Miura's chassis ID plate look different from the norm? Below is 3216's original plate (still one-owner car, guaranteed untouched) for comparison.

Yes, it is different... even from this 2nd angle.
May be a comparison with an earlier car to #3015 will show similar evidence, as #3168 looks identical to #3216.
Is anyone here to provide an earlier VIN plate, so one of the 23 first produced ?
#3015 file is complete so no doubt to have about its origin, even with the number stamped on front "traverse" frame.
