Hmm, at least 25kg per light LOL......it's easer to lose a couple of kilos of body weight than trying to take the weight of the led rails, so light it is :)

Work done and the results are fantastic, thanks to the brilliant idea of Anders!
As promised, here are some pictures of the upgrade. It make a huge difference, looks perfectly well integrated, not the cheap tuner look. Ferrari should have done it stock.

It's very straight forward and easy to do, grace to Anders DIY instructions. I removed also the 2 panels to have better access (panel in front of the fan and panel around the wheel). It was also the opportunity to clean up things behind these panels coz I found so much dirt and little rocks stuck there. It was worth to clean up also the fan elements which was full of dirt making the fan heavier and would require more force from the fan motor. Found also some sensor wires which weren't well isolated anymore. You really have to be after the guys from the Ferrari workshop who bill you such high amounts for such ****ty work!

Thanks again Anders, it's great to see from time to time on this forum some real good stuff ;-)

PS: Anders, when you'll receive the Capristo exhaust brackets, it would be great to post some picts of them, maybe on specific thread? I'm looking forward to installing them also.

I went into IKEA and those numbers didn't match also. They only make two types of LED under cabinet lighting, white and programable colored. Get the white ones.

In the states and Uk, the product code is indeed different :
    here's the link for the US : http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20119418 (49.99$)
    and for UK : http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00119419 (39.99 £)

or just search the product "DIODER" (they are all the same worldwide) and make sure you order the white color (and not multicolor or multicolour ;) )

I'm starting to like this mod after seeing more pictures. I just might get around to doing it once I have the exhaust system hooked up. Thanks for sharing the pix and tips. Really great help here.

Today we had a very sunny weather and all the snow at low altitude is gone ;) Impossible to resist to go for a ride ;) Car is always happy to go just as my dog ;) As promissed, I took a picture at daylight. For sure, it isn't as bright as an Audi or any tuned car but that's exactly want I didn't want. It's discrete enough and still brighter than it was with the 5W bulb.

Hey guys, I was looking for a pic in daylight with the light OFF :) just wanted to make sure it didn't change the appearance of the light unit when it's switched off.

May I ask if I direct connect the LED to the wire, and the LED is running on 12V., so no transformer or resistor is needed?

    The Look:
It transforms the F430 to have a more advance look like the 458. Amazing job. I will give it a try in defentely.
