Never realised the value I guess. I have one in my bookcase which I only opened once. The price is still on it. $35.95 So I'm wondering if it will be worth a trade for a 308 tool kit in a few years. LOL

Same here - bought mine at Amazon in March 2008 when I got my 328 - it was "on sale"
for $24.99 at the time. Should have bought every one they had!!

I just moved it from the regular book case to the glass case... gotta protect my investment!

    :D

I agree, price has become nutty. Four sellers on eBay have buy-it-now of $460-$500. Only affordable copies are in Japanese language. Wanted to offer it to Fchattters before going to eBay.

I just don't understand the sudden insane jump in price? Just 2 years ago it was $25 at
Amazon.... what has happened to make it worth $400 - $600 now? Did Enzo get resurrected
and then die again during that time?

I'm amazed. I've got a copy, had it for the last 10 years or so, was disappointed it really didn't cover the 355 very well. Well, when I need some extra spending money......

There are LOTS of books out of print - MILLIONS in fact. And many regarding
unique things like Ferraris. I know because I buy a lot of old books.

This one isn't even all that great. I read it and put it on the shelf.

What makes THIS out of print book so valuable all of a sudden?

I bought my copy when I was hunting for a 328 back in the late 90s. At the time is was the top recommended book in the F community for V8s. I guess the special appeal of this book, and part of the reason for it's sudden rise in value are the hallowed terms 288 GTO and F40 - as the book covered those models in some depth.

I have no idea where my book is - I put it in a box in storage years ago. Best go and dig it out quick!

I'm glad I have mine already.

I have the V12 book too, are they up there as well?

I assume the high price is just a reflection of supply and demand. Original V8 is out of print and there are very few good books re the 308/328. Plus, let's face it, most Ferrari related items go for high prices. Been to your F dealer lately?

The Original Ferrari V12 book is ticking up in price also - around $100-$200.

I hope the high demand for the V8 book reflects renewed interest in our 3x8 cars.

Well this post went into orbit quickly. I just had to put my book in a large sealed plastic bag and stored it in the safe. I am now in a discussion with my bride who told me to sell it for $600. This must be some kind of Nigerian book buy operation. LOL

This is actually the second crazy book price I have heard this past couple of days.

I watched American Psycho again this weekend on cable and thought about buying the book. Hardcover starts at about $168. WTF?

You guys are crazy. I wanted to get a copy of it and started looking around about a year ago and everyone wanted $400.

    Nutjobs.

If anyone decides they want to get rid of a copy at a reasonable price, drop me a line. Otherwise, give them to your kids, they are just as valuable as gold as they sit there and collect dust :D:D:D:D

meh, books are not that good. i would sell my pair as well. All i wanted was the carb GT4 data and the QV facts. Ill never own a V12, so its a waste of shelf space.

Well after a brief discussion last night it looks like I'll put the book up for sale. Just like the price of these 308 tool kits I guess this will turn out to be another overpriced Ferrari item. So being that I am seeing 308 tool kits going for $500+ I'll sell the book for the same . Who would have thought this would happen. Hey such is life so now I need to see what all of those issues of Cavallino are worth. LOL

I bought it. It's now for sale again at the low low price of $250.00 when I get done reading it. :)
