    Thanks John,

Looks like he stuck the J in the middle. That's where I had it different.

I am one of the fortunate few in Australia to have one of each. Just love the 80's supercars.

Still waiting for you to come around Rob.

i know thats just the mule, BUT it looks a lot like the murci shape.

countach -> diablo -> murcielago....... while all having that wedge shape, looked very different from eachother. this mule looks like another reventon/sv modified murci.

im sure it will have more intakes and a different bumper etc... but still looks like a hotted up murci.

guess i will have to wait and see.

    Not driven alot lately.

It's either raining in Melbourne (for a change)

    Or something else comes up.

    For Example.

It was my sons birthday party on Sunday
    and
I have managment staff in from interstate this Friday.

Sometimes I feel like moving them on.

The white Countach is a QV right? Evo just tested all the Countach models and the QV came out as the best to drive.

Didn't notice in the photo. There must be another white QV driving around in Melbourne.

The Murcielago is the hottest looking car on the planet. I don't see the problem :p

looks like a 25th anniversary to me. A long way from interesting. The chutney auction house used to run a great scam, they'd always put a second 25th into the auction and "sell" it to the back wall for a huge price. Then the real seller car comes up and the mug punters think they're getting a bargain cos it goes for $50K less.

LP400 Periscopa is the one to have. Of course, it costs 3 or 4 times as much. :)

Nope its an 88 QV (definitely not an anniversary)

Although i reckon it has the best of both worlds.
Exactly same as a 500-5000-QV except for the side skirts.

But the better running gear of the Anniversary (including climate control)
Original non electric seats - and no electric windows.

Ahh; but I said best to drive :)

The LP400 is undoubtedly the purist, best looking and most collectible; but the prices for them are nuts. By all accounts they are crap to drive as well.

I think the Anniversary is bloody hideous to look at. The design loses everything that makes the original design so great.

drove the model 2 before the 25th anniversary, dealer wanted $180k for it, then came down to $160k, $120k, then some months later I was in testing an alfa and asked the salesman where the Countach was.

He said the police seized it as part of the drug related assets of the owner, said I was glad I didn't buy the car, he said it would have gone out the door for $105k and the police would have been happy for me to have it as they only have to sell it on.

This was like 8-9 years ago

Countach Not a fun car to drive around the burbs.

But what an adrenalin rush on the open road.

    Makes it all worth while.

Always come home with a smile on my face.

Not a car for the cafe set.

The number plate gives it away, it's an LP400 S.
I think they look fantastic. Makes me stop and stare just as much today as when I first saw one in the flesh in 1977.
