I don't know, I mean the road going 458 looks much better then a 430. But the 430 race car looks better then this 458. It just has too much going on, doesn't look as clean as the 430.

The photo posted by the OP is chassis #1 and is owned by the Patron AMLS team. I talked to one of the race engineers today and he told me that is his first car and they have another one on order. FWIW, he also told me that Risi has not ordered his yet.

Discussing the 458 GT2 on another forum we started discussing the subject of the McLaren MP4-12C competeing in the European FIA GT3 series come 2012. Then the inevitable happened, a typical McLaren fanboy said the McLaren is better because it has 'brake steer'.
    http://reviews.cnet.com/2300-10863_7-10001525-13.html?s=0&o=10001525

I know these are two different series yet do you think we will eventually see the McLaren in ALMS, since they will have such a presence on the NA scene, and do you think their trick 'brake steer' will be allowed, does the ALMS GT3 or GT2 categories rules allow for such a system? I figured I would just ask instead of numerous searching since alot of you know the rules and regs. Also does the euro series allow such systems?

    Thanks in advance,
    tex

Nope, not allowed. At least any more than what the diff-coast setting would permit in achieving the stated aim of the road car system "braking the inside wheel to help spin the car into a turn".

Most advanced road car features peculiar to that car would not be permitted, just like the road car "Air Brake" moveable device would not allowed.

So not allowed in either series except your mention of "At least any more than what the diff-coast setting would permit in achieving the stated aim of the road car system "braking the inside wheel to help spin the car into a turn", understood. Now I doubt their Proactive suspension system will be allowed in either series aswell?

    Thanks,
    tex
